Dear Washington Township Residents,

The J. Everett Light Career Center is such a rich resource for learning in our community. I am amazed every time that I visit the building, to see the extensive opportunities that the center offers to students. And I am equally pleased, that the center is able to extend many of those offerings beyond the traditional school day and beyond the traditional school year, to people of all ages and walks of life. As the Superintendent of Washington Township, I invite you to explore this catalog and to consider the many opportunities that exist to further your education and personal growth. As a Superintendent, I am proud that a place such as the J. Everett Light Career Center exists within my township. As member of this community I feel fortunate to have these many educational opportunities available.

At the beginning of this school year, Washington Township became a fully authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School district. We are the first school district in Indiana and one of only seven districts in the United States to offer the IB program to every student, in every school district-wide. North Central High School has offered the rigorous IB Diploma for more than 20 years, making it the state’s most established and prestigious IB Diploma Program. This connection with IB is an extension of our commitment to bring high quality education to every student in every school.

I encourage you to take a moment to learn more about the International Baccalaureate programs and how these programs are contributing to the continued excellence of Washington Township schools. For your convenience, I have included the International Baccalaureate Organization website below.

As residents of Washington Township, please take advantage of the wonderful opportunities that you will find within this catalog, and please continue to celebrate with us in the many ways that our schools strengthen our community.

Thank you for your continued support of our amazing schools in Washington Township. We could not have superior schools, without the supportive community that you are.

Sincerely, Dr. Nikki Woodson

Superintendent, MSD Washington Township

Students will receive instruction on the navigation of 3D space in a computer application, how to use basic toolsets, how to sculpt and manipulate the virtual meshes, and ultimately complete their own model that will be printed on a 3D printer.Dates: Session 1
