Segment Overview This overview shows the structure of the message – with regard to the segment´s order and probability. The abbreviation consisting of three characters are the segments´ tags. They stand for segments or groups of segments detailed in Chapter 3. The condition of a segment may assume the two following values: M – Mandantory - the segment or group of segments mustmustmustmust be used. C – Conditional - the segment or group of segments maymaymaymay be used. Note that a segment may be shown as mandantory but gets optional because of the condition of the group of segments. The third value shows how often a segment or a group of segment may be repeated.
