of the same level are created equally. Different Monsters drop more Mesos

than others and also have higher percentages to drop rare items.

1. When fighting monsters just for Mesos, fight monsters that are

weaker that you do not have to constantly use potions. If you arefighting monsters to level that is a different story, but if you are

fighting just for Mesos then the use of potions is going to cut into the

amount of money you make from killing the monsters.

2. Always, Always, Always pick up everything you see. Never leave

items lying on the ground or Mesos just sitting there. When you are

leveling and grinding in a specific area make sure you always pick up

all the items and all the Mesos, for every bit counts.

3. If you are in a higher with high levels that are leveling ask them if you

can pick up their Mesos, a lot of times they will just be focused on

leveling and do not care about the drops, let them know you will not

KS them and you just need to earn a little more Mesos for a new

piece of armor. Most of the time they will not have a problem with this

and let you loot their kills.

4. Train and level in Areas where monsters drop items that are used forquests. I use to train in the Secret Pig Beach level and Pig heads sell

for 5k a piece. So as your leveling you will receive loads of quest

items which can then be sold to other players that are looking to

complete the quest without trying to go out and fight for the quest

items.

5. Fight in Areas where monsters have high drop rates for rare items.

This will give you a good chance of a rare item dropping that can thenbe sold for hundreds of thousands of mesos if not millions.

Drops = Money

Drop page for levels 25 and under

What does that mean? Well it's simple. People say that drops are all luck.Well its true that it is luck on how much time it may take, but not necessarywhat you'll be getting it luck. An example of this is in Perion in the hiddenboar street, I know that within 30 minutes i will probably get weightedearrings. Granted weighted earrings are a level 20 earring drop frequently,but simply finding where certain items drop and selling them will earn youextra money.

My favorite spot is sleepywoods, ant tunnel 2. Drop Down and go to the farright side. Kill there for a while and you will get a white chaos robe dropped

within the hour. White Chaos robes go for 150-500k each. Depending ofcoarse on what the def, magic and all the stats are on the robe. This is anamazing spot.

I mean haven't you ever wondered how people had 30 or the same scrolls,or 15 armor suits that are exactly the same but stats varying a little. THISIS HOW.

Now, go if you got down 1 more zone in the inner core at the bottom is yourbest chance of getting Mithril wands. Mithril wands are nothing special. I

don't really suggest doing this one. It's about half hour a drop. They sellfor 19k in the shops and no one really wants to buy them at the freemarket.

Next, if you can go to the evil eye tunnels. Those are 1 zone after themoving market guy.

There you will be able to score up something that's very valuable. Cutlassis a warrior sword. They go for around 70-150 each. They are very nice. Ihave had 3 drop in a half hour before. That was the only time, but i am

confident you will score a cutlass there very soon. Preferable hunt towardsthe top and top middle for cutlass.

Score up some level 20 box earrings go to the very bottom of this zone.There you will find earrings within 45 minutes. This is stupid because theyare not even that good. But you can sell these earrings for about 30keach.

Taking a break from the ant tunnels were going to go to ellina.

Ellina trees hold some amazing items. If you start at Ellina and go 3 zonesover and at the very farthest tree you will find another zone inside the tree.Go inside this tree. You will find panlids every two hours in there. Panlidsvery in price, if you have a good one it can sell for over 200k some go foraround 150k. It just depends on the market.

These tree tops are very good to hunt at because they are not only great tolevel at but can yield very powerful items. I have also found a pair of whitework gloves here, which sell for about 30-60k each. Furthermore ellinaszone tend to have drops, drop sooner than any other area. I really enjoyhunting around there

Special Occasions

Special occasions are a time when MapleStory adds something to thegame for the upcoming holiday. Examples of this are MapleStory'sbirthday in which they had candles drop and blue and red presents. Thered presents would go for about 700k and the blue present would go forover 2million. The candles would go for over 10k each.

The most recent example of this would be the Halloween theme they justhad. This was where Halloween candies would drop and you could either

get Maldies candies or a Halloween basket. So how are you going to makemoney off of this?

Selling presents/Halloween Baskets/ext.

The thing is where you get these candies. Here's the thing anyone thatsays drops are luck are full of shit. There are certain zones, areas thatdrop much more frequently than others. An example of this is Ellina zone 2on the left. This zone starts off as a straight line, but you can jump into atree and port up or down. This zone rocks, I was able to average 30

candies and 5-6 candles an hour.

How to Save your Money

Saving your money is key in MapleStory, again just like in Real life the only

people who become rich are the people who save their money, unless you

hit the lottery in which your broke again in less than a few years becausethey dont know how to save their money. There are many ways to save

money. The most common way people came up with is to spend less pots

while leveling. Lets say you are a warrior and you spend about 100 white

pots per level power training. If you conserve your hp pots by resting on a

safe spot for your hp to recharge, you will spend 0 white pots and only mana

pots (if you use any special attacks). You have just saved 100 * 320 = 32k

per level on pots ONLY. For mages, this goes with mp. However, this is NOT

recommended if you want to level fast for your 2nd job advance. This is an

inefficient way of leveling. Also, the money you spend on pots will probably

break even from monster's mesos and drops.

Distributing your ap points can save you tons of mesos. For warriors and

mages, putting points into hp recov/mp recov will save you money from

buying pots. Saving points for special attacks (lucky 7, magic claw, double

arrow, power slash, etc) also will allow you to spend less pots (example: lvl

10 lucky 7 wastes 8 mp but lvl 11 wastes 11 mp and you only get a lil more

damage out of it, so save the next 10 points and put them at the end).

Another way to save money is to buy cheaper equipments. For example, a sin

with 4 subis and 2 wolbis wants to get better stars to deal more damage. He

goes and buy 4 mokbis and 2 icicles. He deals more damage after the stars

but spend more than a million mesos. Why not just stick to your subis and

wolbis? At your current level, str/int/luk/dex/matk/watk will not increase your

damage to the point you can 2 hit something that is 5 levels higher than you.

So why bother wasting money on that? Remember, don't waste money IS

saving money.

Saving your money at higher levels

Basically the same thing with the previous one for low levels, except now you

have more money and can buy scrolls and more expensive items. Scroll for

weapon could cost up to 800k and scroll for armor could cost up to 4 mil!

Scrolling items can be highly rewarded but also devastating. A lucky person

might get a 10% glove atk on his/her first try and perfect scroll the rest of the

slots with 60%s. An unlucky person might end up with only 1 or 2 60%s to

work. The cost for a 60% glove atk is at least 2 mil, 2 * 5 = 10 mil. If only 1or 2 worked, the price of the glove will go down to as low as 1 mil for the 2

atk and 3 mil for the 4 atk. That is a HUGE lost of money and it might happen

to anyone. Yes that means you too. I had an experience when I wanted to

get a 10% glove for dex to work on a clean wg, so i purchased 32 10% glove

dex and made 32 wg (around 3.5 million). None of the scrolls worked. Don't

try your luck with scrolls UNLESS you are rich enough to buy all your

weapons/equipments and your scrolls and still have leftovers for another set

of equipments and pots. Rather than trying your luck, you can always buy aprescrolled weapon/armor. People tend to sell them for more than the total

cost of the equipment and scrolls (if it is decent scrolled) because they got

the scrolls to work. Save up your money and buy a GOOD prescrolled

armor/weapon that will last you for at least 5 levels. This way you can level

up faster and be able to actually sell your item due to high demands for

prescrolled items.

Questing For Mesos

Rewards from quests are an easy way to make millions of Mesos. While

some of the quests below give rewards that range easily into the Millions of

Mesos. Questing isnt just about Mesos you also get great EXP out of the

quests and they are a lot more fun than just grinding. I would highly

suggest that you complete the following quests for I believe they are some

of the best ones in the game at mid levels to easily bring in a few Million in

Mesos.

John's Pink Flowering Basket

Location Victoria Island: Lith Harbour

Level Required 15

You can find John in Lith Harbour. He is a fisherman there and he needs flowers for his

wife. To get these 10 Pink flowers you need to go to Sleepywood. Now in case youdon't know where sleepwood is yet you need to go to the dungeon. I prefer to take theHersey route when I first need to go there since I don't have the scroll yet. To get toSleepywood take Herseys path to the Dungeon. You will go through two zones untilfinally you will get to the Dungeon. When you get in the zone keep dropping down untilyou will finally see a statue with a zone in it. Zone in and you will be in Sleepwood.From there walk right until you see a statue on the ground. Click the statue. The statuewill take you into a jumping quest zone. I tend to like these. Get through both of thesezones and collect the flowers. Once you get the flowers you will be transported out ofthe zone. There is a chance you will not get enough flowers if someone had just donethe quest. If you do get all 10 flowers return to Lith Harbour and get some exp and 30

screws!!!! Also don't forget if you have 600 mesos get a sleepywood scroll. There aretwo ways you can make money from this quest.

1. Finishing this quest allows you to now do that jumping quest for ores. Ores=mesos.If you're good at it you can get your time down to about two minutes per completion.That's one ore a minute. This is pretty good. If you collect enough of these ores withthis method you can make ore plates which sell for 20-60k each. Maybe more or lessdepending on ore, market and server you're on. So, it's not a bad quest to practiceespecially at low level.

2. At the end of the quest you will receive 30 screws. Now you may be wondering how

30 screws are going to make me money. At the very, very least you can sell them for1k each making your 30k. I have seen screws go for 5k each making your 80k. So thisquest can potentially make you 80 at level 15.

3. What I did, I did an experiment to see how much money I could farm in 2 hours, 120minutes. I was able to do about 50 runs in 2 hours. That's 100 pieces of ore with thepotential to make a maximum of 10 refined ores. Selling them separately at the freemarket ranging from 2k each to 7k each I made a grand totally of 532k not bad for 2hours of work at level 15. That will help free up money problems for a while.

Luke the Security Guy

Location Victoria Island (in front of the Dungeon)

Level Required 15

This quest tends to be easier mages and archers since they have better accuracy at

lower levels. Also in order to complete this quest you have to hit jr.Necki's which hit alot of damage. So the farther you are away from them the better. So I recommend thisquest for Mages, Bowmen. First go the front entrance of the Dungeon hopefully you stillremember how to get there from the time you went to Sleepywood. Talk to Luke theSecurity Guy about the quest. He is going to tell you that you need to collect him 100 jr.Necki skin, a bowl of salad and 10 stirge wings. I would go do the jr. Necki skin first andrake up some exp killing them. You can get there by either going into the dungeon orgoing left on your screen until you find a swamp zone or subway. I preferred to go toKerning city. There you can first kill Jr. Necki's in the subway. You get good exp fromthem and the skins drop frequently. It took me about 150 kills to collect all 100 skins.Next, in the subway you will find Stirge's. These are bats. Kill 10 bats and collect their

wings. At this time if you are level 20 you can also be doing Shumi's coin quest.Regardless then last thing you need is the bowl of salad. You can either carefully runthrough the dungeon continually going left or down until you reach a mobile shop.There they sell bowls of salad. I believe they are less than 500 mesos. Or you can findbowls of salad at the free market for less than 1500 mesos. Once you finish this questrun back to Luke and give him his items. Either way How do you make money off of thisquest? Well between two characters I've had two different outcomes

1. The reward. You will be rewarded with a refined garnet, Amethyst, Aquamarine,Emerald, Sapphire, Topaz, or even a Diamond ore. What does this mean for you?

2. Depending on what you get you can make a ton of money. A refined diamond cango for well over 80k. Sapphires 40-60. The rest at the very least 20k This is greatmoney for level 15.

Shumi's Lost Coin

Location Kerning City right by the Subway

Level Required 20Oh know Shumi has lost her coin somewhere. She wants you to go and find it. Thisquest is pretty easy. Talk to her and then go inside the Subway. There will be a mandown there. Click on him and buy a B-2 ticket for about 500meso. After you buy yourticket you will see a ticket booth with ....... by it. Click on that booth. Ok we haveanother obstacle quest here. This one is much harder for me. It takes a lot of time andpatients, but I know you can do it. Once you finish the quest you will exit with Shumi'scoin. Now this will be open to you to run through and get ores every time you finish it.This is a little bit harder than the other tree climbing on in Sleepywood but it tends toyield better ores more often. You can make great money off of this one if you are goodat the running climbing jumping quest. Good luck.

Pia and the Blue Mushroom

Location Hersey in the park

Level Required 20(Excellent quest) this is an amazing quest to do, it has amazing potential to yield greatmoney fast. This is my one of my favorite money quest don't pass this quest up.

First things to do are talk to Pia. Once you do that you go out of the park and then goright on the screen. You will find there Blue Mushrooms jumping around. Kill bluemushrooms and get there mushroom tops. At level 20 it should be cake. Next go toEllinia or even the first zone over on the right side of Hersey and kill the greenmushrooms and get 60 of their mushroom tops... Very Very simple quest. Probably oneof the easiest in the entire game. After you get all of the Mushrooms you need take itback to Pia and get your Scroll.

1. ARMOR SCROLL!!!!! Amazing... Depending on which one you get you can sell itanywhere from 99,999 mesos which is unlikely, to 2million mesos. I sold mine for 1.2

million mesos. You do not need to keep these scrolls at such a low level there is noreason to use scrolls. Furthermore it is only a 10% scroll so your chances aren't thatgreat in successfully getting it off. Sell this scroll. You will make money!!!!!Scrolls=MONEY!!!!!!!

Sabitrama's Quest to Make a Diet Medicine

Location Sleepywood right by the Hotel Sauna place

Level Required 25Easy Quest. Great Money

Talk to Sabitrama and he will tell you, you have to talk to Shane. Shane is in Ellina. Goto Ellina find Shane and talk to him. He will tell you that for I think 1000 mesos he willtake you to this place to get the flower for Sabitrama. This is another obstacle quest.And a great quest at that. This is a pretty easy obstacle quest. Finish the obstaclequest and get the flowers at the very top. When you get the flowers go back tosleepwood and talk to Sabitrama. Sabitrama will give you a great item

1. You will get a full body scroll. or 10 elixirs. If you get the 10 elixirs I am really sorrybecause you just got screwed, but you have a great chance of getting the scroll.

2. I was able to sell this scroll for 800k mesos. A great profit. My brother was able toget over 1mil mesos for his. So this quest yields a lot of mesos.

3. Furthermore if you continue doing this quest you will receive a couple ores every timeand some exp every time you finish this quest which is pretty tight because it'sextremely easy.

Jane and the Wild Boars

Location Lith Harbour

Level Required 25

This Quest is a Must! It Has Great Rewards!

Killer Quest as well. This quest is very easy because of what you need to get. Most ofthe time the items you need you have already been hunting. In this case you will needto kill and get wild boar teeth. You will need 100 wild boar teeth and 120 hornedmushrooms. This quest is very simple. A simple collection quest. Once you finish thisquest return it and you will receive and attack scroll

1. Every time I have done this quest I received a 60% attack scroll for mages. This isworth a lot. Each time I did this I sold the scroll for 2million mesos. This scroll easily

goes for 2 million. Without a doubt. 2 million mesos if a great help for the upcomingarmor youre going to need so try not to blow it to fast.

2. If you do not get that mage scroll you will probably get a spear attack scroll orsomething along that line. That can be sold for about 800k so win or lose you is goingto make some decent money out of this quest. There is not reason you should not walkaway from quest with anything less thank 500k mesos

Shumi's Lost Bundle of Money

Location Back to Kerning City and the Subway

Level Required 30

So this Lady cannot hold onto her money. She is always losing it and then wants

someone to find it. Well that someone is you. You're going back down to the subwayand buying another ticket for B-1. This obstacle quest is harder but it shouldn't take thatlong. At the end of this quest return the bag of money back to her and you will get 100elixirs.

1. Now, if you are a warrior you don't need 100 elixirs sell them for 32,000mesos. Youcan go back and do this one as many times as you want like the others and get severalores for each time you complete it.

2. If you need the elixirs keep them it will save you from spend a lot of cash.

Jack Schwetty's secret book

Location

Level Required 30Now this quest is kind of complicated. Depending on which class you are you may beable to get the materials you need, or you might have to buy them. If you have to buythem try not to spend over 20k buying the materials. It sounds like a lot of mesos but Iguaranteed we will flop that profit 10 fold.

Things you need,fresh milk, and 50 Lupin's bananas before returning the book. TheUnagi Special can be made by collecting 50 Curse Eye Tails and 5 Pig Heads and takethem to Rina, who's in front of the Henesys Park. Fresh milk can be had by givingRowen the Fairy a refined diamond. Once you have all of this and you done you cangive Jack Schwetty is book. Now that you have finished the quest what is so specialabout this quest and why did you get to put some much money into.

1. You receive a SAUNA ROBE!!!!!!!! Overall the Sauna robe helps recover HP MPFaster but the great thing about it is it sells for mucho mesos man.

2. Sold my robe for 2.4 million. Reason they go for so much. They're kind of like workgloves. People like to use scrolls on them and make great Sauna robes. So sell yoursfor as much as possible and enjoy the profit that you earned.

By the end of the Level 30 Quest you could very easily have over 8 million Mesos

Rowen the Fairy and the Cursed Dolls

Location Ellina

Level Required 40This quest serves 2 major purposes. One Leveling and two it starts to define a point inmaple story where money starts to become very easy to obtain. Not only from quest,but from killing monsters.

This quest is basically a grind in which you just kill collect and kill a lot more. It's greatbecause you will get some amazing exp and prizes.

Start in Ellina and talk to Rowen the Fairy. She wants you to start eliminating andbringing her back cursed dolls. Do this. For every time you do this she will give yousomething new. Eventually I believe the third time she will give you what you reallywant. A scroll

1. You should receive a yield ore= 20-60k

2. Scroll for gloves. Now if you have been playing maple story long you will know thatthere is a huge obsession with work gloves. That is because you can make someamazing gloves out of them. The scroll of gloves you will get will sell for around 800k-2million. I had a 10% scroll and a 60% scroll of dex come out of this. Each time I madewell over a million meso's from this quest. So I have no problem believing you will too.Also I know the quest sucks but it does serve to level your ass up. SO take advantageof it and level. Eventually the higher the level you will become the more monsters willdrop you money wise and you will be richer than you could have ever believed.

Shumi's Lost sack of money

Location Back of Kerning and the Subway

Level Required 40

Well in case you are not sure what this quest is going to consist of I will tell you. It isonce again an obstacle quest getting back her sack of money. It's very hard at that.This is the hardest obstacle quest for me. But the reward for completing it is worth it.

1. Scroll of shoe speed. Now, I suggest selling this scroll. A lot of people like to usethem on snowshoes; it that's what you want to do now is a good time to do that. You

can get well over a million mesos for this scroll but because of the next coming questwhich will make you rich off your ass, I honestly don't care whether or not you want tobe faster running or not. Hopefully by now you should have a very comfortable amountof money. I would say at the very very least 5million. Unless you let your mesos burn a

whole in your pocket.

Jane the Alchemist

Location Lith Harbour

Level Required 40

Straight up this quest rocks. Semi-simple and yields an attack scrolls for gloves. Which

we went over is very valuable to lots of people. You have a sellers market with thisscroll. Don't be afraid to kick up the price a lot.

Go talk to Jane and she will send you out with a grocery list of items she needs. Youare going to need to get them for her. special skills, the alchemist can create a wholenew item out of something totally different. She wants me to collect some materials forher, and 1st, to make an elixir; she needs 1 pure water, 20 medicines with weird vibes,and collect 20 frogs for Malady's Experiment. Collect them all, bring it back to her, thenthere's a 50/50 chance of doing it right and make 10 Elixirs, or do it wrong and make 50.The EXP points earned through success or failure also differs. For the 2nd quest, tomake a power elixir, she'll need 1 Mushmom's spore, 3 Bottles of Drake's Blood,100

medicines of weird vibes, and 30 malady's experimental frogs; if you get them all, you'llbe awarded with 15 Power Elixir's, 15 Mana Elixirs if failed. Lastly, to make a scroll,she'll need 1 Moon Rock, 20 Dragon Skins, and 10 saps of ancient tree. Once thoseitems have been gathered up, it'll in return become the Scroll for Gloves for ATT

Basilmarket.com, like I said before it is a great place for reference and once

you get use to it and understand how everything operates your can startbuying and selling items on the site for free.

Merchanting is all about skill, the more you buy and sell the better you will

get at it. Just like in real life buying and selling can be a great way to make

money but you must have the skills to do so. For some it will come very

natural to and others youll have to work but the rewards can be great and

the sky is the limit to the amount of Mesos you can make.

Closing Merchanting notes

You will want to setup a free market shop. You will need to sell many items

that youve bought and had other collect for you. It is good to get a

reputation of having good items for certain quests or rare items that people

are looking for.

The final key is staying up to date on items. You do not want to get left

behind for just like in on Wall Street prices are changing every day, it is

very important to stay up to date on these prices and keep on top of yourinventory.

Running the Business

The next step to take once youve become the Warren Buffet of

Merchanting is starting your own MapleStory business. What does this

mean? Well it means hire employees to do the work for you. Live Iveemphasized before in Merchanting is building relationships with people and

making friends for this will always pay off for you in the long run.

Once youve got a considerable amount of Mesos saved up and know your

servers market then you are ready to start hiring some workers.

Look around outside of the main cities for low level Maplers, and ask them

if they would be interested in making some money, like most low levels

they will always reply YES. Now pick a few items that you are familiar withthat your new employee will be able to farm, whether it be quest items or

just a random item that you know the pricing of.

Tell him to collect these items for a few days and that youll then buy them

off him for a nice price. Offer him 30% - 50% less than the market value for

most low level Maplers are not very informed and know the prices on most

items and will be happy to take your offer.

Add him to your friends list and in a few days when you are both on meet

up and purchase the items and then go ahead and resell it in the market for

a profit.

You want to be able to build a relationship with your works and trust. Offer

them a small bonus for collecting the items in a timely manner and let them

know how good they are doing. They will be happy to make Mesos and

youll be able to collect a nice profit on the flip.

Not only will you make some Mesos youll make some very nice friends in

the game that may become longtime friends that you can always turn to if

you need help with a quest or for anything. Once you start getting good at

hiring your own employees and having them collect items for you, try and

hire on more low levels. Soon if you keep hiring low level teens youll have

an entire work for that will be collecting items for you that you can turn

around and sell for a profit and youll start to see the money flow in.

Going back to the cash shop there are a lot of valuable tools thatMapleStory is going to make you pay for.

1. The first on the list is the Vendors License. What is so good about thislicense? Well the thing is you can use it to sell your mad loot. I neglectedgetting it and I tried selling things on my own for a long time. Well youknow what. It doesnt work even half as well as when you are in a vendor.Hopefully you have cable internet and can leave your computer on all day.Cause that what I do. It works amazingly well. Like I said buyers sellersmarket fluctuate during the day. So the longer you have your stand up thegreater chance you will of getting your price for the items youre selling.This will increase the price you get for it and guess what, theres nonegotiating involved. it just sells the items when people buy it from you.Secondly, are strongly encourage you to get a good spot. It does help if

youre on the first tier of the free market. And the closers you are to thefirst door the better. Also the closer you are to inside to the door thebetter. If people have to go to door five to find you, they might have foundwhat they are looking for by door 3. So, try to find a good spot. This willgreatly help you make mesos. Even if you are only selling pigs heads thatyou picked up at the hidden pig street, theres a great chance youll be ableto get 7k for each head maybe even more if your closer to the 1st marketdoor. Also dont be afraid to sell your items that youre picking up. Hey ialways need pigheads and for me to go back and farm 200 of them is a

pain in the ass. Crank up the price. People will pay for it. You can do thatwith anything Octopus legs, pig ribbons, tree branches, firewood, boarteeth. As you level up in different places set some of your items off to theside for future quest, and for your vendor. You will make great money.

2. A pet, there so cute and there 6 dollars in the cash shop. Well, are theyworth it. Yes. Mainly they help you level up. Pet food is reasonably cheapso they wont drain you there, and they level you up better. Most power-leveling companies actually prefer if you buy a pet with the service to helptheir workers out. It sounds like a waste of money, but in the long run youwill save hours and hours leveling up your character because your petenhances your exping.

3. Meso Magnet, This is my favorite for you can make loads of Mesos withthis. You want to find a very popular area where a lot of people like to hunt.Stand on a ledge or somewhere that you cannot get hit but are close toMesos that are dropped once a monster is killed. If you just stand thereyour Meso Magnet will then pick up Mesos that other players do not afterthey have killed a monster. If you just leave your computer on and run the

game all night when you wake up you will find hundreds of thousands moreMesos in your bag.

4. Item pouch doesnt help a whole lot with making mesos. I added thisone because its cheap and will help. The more items you can have onyou, the more you can ultimately sell. Its a great cheap item that Im sureAsiasoft has made some mass loot off them. So invest in one of these itempouches and i think you wont regret it.
