Pant Polytechnic, Okhla, New Delhi 110020 on payment of Rs.60/- in the form of Demand Draft drawnin favour of DDO, G. B. Pant Polytechnic payable at Delhi. The Prospectus and application form will be on sale from 6t
July 2009 to 17th July 2009 between 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM on all working days (including Saturday). Separate applicationform should be filled up for each course.
Applicants from outside Delhi may download the application form from the website of the Department (http://tte.delhigovt.nic.inunder link Forms/Fees) and submit the same along with a Demand Draft of Rs.60/- drawn in favour of the DDO, G. :1:1. INTRODUCTION
Some of the AICTE approved Diploma Level Institutions under the Department of Training andTechnical Education are conducting Diploma programmes on part time basis in addition toregular Full Time Diploma Programmes with a view to provide upward mobility to the ITIcertificate holders and 10+2 vocational pass outs who are already employed or self employed.
2. PROGRAMMES OFFERED
A brief account of the part time programmes for which admission will be conducted in July 2009 is givenas under: -

Evening Part Time Diploma classes are held from 6.00 P.M. to 9.00 P.M. in the eveningon weekdays (Monday to Friday) and from 8.30 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. on Sundays.

NOTE :
Candidates for evening part time courses must have been employed/self-employed on full timebasis (including Apprenticeship sponsored by a recognized agency) on the day of submittingthe application form.
All employed candidates for part-time courses should produce permission from their employersat the time of submitting application form & also at the beginning of each year / semester ofthe course.
The Department of Training and Technical Education reserves the right not tocommence a programme, in case enrolment to a particular programme is less than 50%of the sanctioned intake.
The examination passed as Apprentice shall be considered as qualifying examination. Any
candidate claiming admission on the basis of Apprenticeship Certificate issued from otherStates shall be considered as Other State candidates.
A candidate is required to buy separate Information Bulletin for each course.
Candidates who have appeared in the annual exam of the year 2009 and are placed in
the compartment or passed with grace marks will not be eligible for admission for the
year 2009-10.
It will be the sole responsibility of the candidates themselves to make sure that they areeligible and fulfill all other conditions prescribed for admission before applying foradmission.
Candidates who were earlier expelled or rusticated from any of the Polytechnics are not
eligible for fresh admission.

4. MERIT ORDER
For Part Time (evening) Diploma courses in Engineering, merit ranking will be worked out on the basisof the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in all the subjects of ITI certificate/Apprenticeship
certificate / 12th vocational course.
5. PHYSICAL FITNESS
The applicant must be in good mental and physical health. One should satisfy the standard of physicalfitness duly certified by a medical doctor in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-I) that is to be submittedat the time of admission.
6. SEAT ALLOCATION
Region-wise-allocation :- 85% seats of the sanctioned intake for each course are earmarked forcandidates who have passed the qualifying exam from schools located
in Delhi State.
15 % seats are earmarked for outside Delhi candidates.
The criteria for deciding the region of the candidates, who have passed the qualifying examinationthrough Open School, will be the location of the study center (school). The candidate must have gothimself/herself registered with any school for the purpose. The candidates who have passed thequalifying examination through the schools located outside Delhi will be treated as outside Delhicandidates for admission for the year 2008-09.
The candidates passing qualifying exam through Patrachar/Correspondence shall have to produceproof of residence for verifying the region.
7. RESERVATION CATEGORIES
7.1 SC Category: 15% of total number of seats in both Delhi and outside Delhi quota in each course ofeach polytechnic for fresh admission is reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste.
7.2 ST Category : 7.5% of the total number of seats in both Delhi and outside Delhi quota in eachCourse of each Polytechnic for fresh admission is reserved for candidate belonging to ScheduledTribe.
Any unfilled seat reserved for Scheduled Castes will be treated as reserved for Scheduled Tribesand vice versa. The seats will be de-reserved for general category only after exhausting the
complete list of SC/ST candidates. Seats remaining unfilled in all categories would be de-reservedafter exhausting the complete list of each category.
7.3 OBC Category : 15% of total number of seats in both Delhi and outside Delhi quota in each courseof each polytechnic for fresh admission is reserved for candidates belonging to OBC category.
Horizontal and vertical reservation shall also be as per the policy of Government prevailingat the time of counseling.

NOTE:
1. For admission to a seat reserved for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/OBCs, the candidateshould submit a certificate in original from an approved district authority, indicating the Scheduled
Caste/Tribe/OBC, to which the candidate belongs. A list of approved authorities is given below.(i) District Magistrate/ Additional District Magistrate/ Deputy Commissioner/Collector/ Additional
Deputy Commissioner/ Deputy Collector/ 1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate/ City Magistrate(not below the rank of 1st class Stipendiary Magistrate), Sub-Divisional Magistrate/ TalukaMagistrate/ Executive Magistrate/ Extra Assistant Commissioner.
(ii) Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency magistrate(iii) Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar.(iv) Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate and/or his/her family normally resides.(v) Administrator/ Secretary to Administrator/Development Officer (Laccadive & Minicoy Island).
2. Caste certificate in the name of the applicant from competent authority will have to be submitted alongwith the application without which the application will be considered under general category. In case of
certificate on parents name, admissions will be provisional. For availing reservation under OBCcategory in Delhi State, Delhi OBC list shall be considered.
7.4 Physically Handicapped: 3% of the sanctioned intake of each course in each polytechnic in bothDelhi and outside Delhi quota for fresh admission are reserved for Physically Handicapped candidates.A certificate of suitability as to whether the applicant is fit for undergoing the course applied for willhave to be furnished from the Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for Physically Handicapped, 9-11Vikas Marg, Karkardooma, Delhi 110092 (Annexure-II).
7.5 Defence Personnel: 5% of sanctioned intake of each course in each polytechnic in both Delhiand outside Delhi quota is reserved for children of Military/ para Military personnel in followingorder of preference:
(i) Widows/wards of Defence personnel killed in action.(ii) Wards of serving personnel & Ex-servicemen disabled in action.(iii) Widows/wards of Defence Personnel who died in peacetime with death attributable to Military
Service.(iv) Wards of Defence Personnel disabled in peacetime with disability attributable to Military
Service.(v) Wards of ex-servicemen and serving personnel who are in receipt of Gallantry awards.(vi) Wards of ex-servicemen.(vii) Wards of serving personnel.
Candidates will have to get their candidature certified by any of the following authorities:(i) Secretary, Kendriya Sainik Board, Delhi
(ii) Secretary, Rajya/Zila Sainik Board(ii i) Officer-in-Charge, Record Office.
7.6 Staff: 2% seats in Part time Diploma Courses are reserved for the staff working in TechnicalInstitutes / ITIs under Govt. of Delhi provided they fulfill the eligibility conditions. A No ObjectionCertificate from the Department should be attached with the application.
In case the seats (including those reserved for SC and ST) remain unfilled, they will be offered to thecandidates belonging to the general category.

Any seat (reserved or general) remaining unfilled in Outside Delhi category will be transferred to Delhi seat
of the same category. The order of conversion shall be Outside Delhi (Reserved Category) Delhi
(Reserved Category) Outside Delhi (General) Delhi (General) and vice-versa.
8. SUPPLY OF APPLICATION FORMThe information brochure with application form shall be available at Aryabhat Polytechnic, G.T. KarnalRoad, Delhi and G. B. Pant Polytechnic, Okhla, New Delhi on payment of Rs. 60/- in the form of DemandDraft drawn in favour of
DDO, G.B. Pant Polytechnic, Delhi payable at Delhi from 07.07.09 to 17.07.09 on allworking days (including Saturday) between 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM. Separate application forms should befilled up for each course.
Applications for Outside Delhi candidates
Outside Delhi candidates can download the application form from the website of the Department(http://tte.delhigovt.nic.in) and submit the same along with a demand draft of Rs.60/- drawn in favour of theDDO, G.B. Pant Polytechnic so as to reach G.B. Pant Polytechnic latest by 4.00 P.M. on 17.07.09.
The Department/ Institute will not be responsible for the late receipt of the forms due to postal orany other delay. Applications received late will not be considered.
Note: Admission of the student shall stand cancelled ab-initio if any information supplied ordocument submitted is proved to be false/fake at any stage.
Filling up the admission form
The application form should be filled in carefully by the candidate in his/her own handwriting.
No columns should be left blank.
Applications received after the due date & time will not be entertained.
The candidates seeking Reservation should attach documentary evidence with the application.
The application form should be submitted at the G.B. Pant Polytechnic latest by 4.00 PM on17.07.2009.
Incomplete applications and those received after last date and closing time will not be entertained.
9. DISPLAY OF MERIT LIST AND ADMISSION SCHEDULE
The consolidated merit lists of each category and the schedule for admission shall be displayed on thenotice board of G.B. Pant Polytechnic on 24th July 2009 at 4.00 PM.Appearance of name in the merit list does not mean that a seat is ensured.
Any discrepancy in the merit list, if observed, must be brought to the notice of the Chief AdmissionOfficer in writing before the actual date of commencement of admission.
The candidates who do not get admission against the reserved quota, their applications shall beautomatically transferred to the general category.

10. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION
1. Requisite fee in the form of Demand Draft. Details will be available in the notice board of theadmission centre on the day of displaying the merit list.
2. Proof of date of birth (Secondary School Certificate)(Original and one attested Photocopy).
3. Certificate and Mark Sheet of the qualifying examination issued by the Board/University. In cases,where the University has prescribed a condition of passing a subject or subjects at some level, theCertificate/Mark Sheet of the concerned examination in proof thereof should also be produced
(Original and One Photocopy). In case the original certificate is not awarded at the level of the School,Provisional Certificate may be accepted.
4. SC/ST/Physically Handicapped (Annexure-II) / Defence Category Certificate(s) whichever applicable,on the basis of which reservation is claimed (Original and one attested photocopy).
5. Conduct and Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution from where the qualifying
examination has been passed/or from a Gazetted Officer (Original and one attested photocopy).
6. Two passport size photographs, one attested by the Principal of the institute last attended or aGazetted Officer. Candidates name should be indicated on the top of the attested photograph.
7. Certificate of Medical Fitness signed by a Registered Medical Practitioner holding a degree not lowerthan MBBS in the format as given in Annexure-I (Original).
8. Experience Certificate and No Objection Certificate from the employer.
11. ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Candidates must sign the arrival register giving the time and date of their arrival at the reception, on the day of
admission.
A tally statement indicating the approximate number of seats available will be placed on the Notice Board at thereception/ information area.
Name of the candidates will be called one by one as per the merit order. Candidates have to produce theacknowledgement form, preference sheet (if any) and other documents to the Chief Admission Officer when theirnames are called for.
No seat will be offered if original documents are not produced.
Fees are to be paid immediately by Demand Draft. Admission is complete only after allotment of Roll Numberand payment of fees.
If the candidate does not pay the fees immediately after the admit order is made by the Chief Admission Officer, theseat offered will be withdrawn and the fee paid will be forfeited. No representation for extension of time foradmission and payment of fees will be considered.
Candidates who do not respond for admission at the time when their names are called out for admissionwill be given a second chance for admission at the commencement of subsequent session/ days.Candidates who respond

to the second chance will be granted admission against the remaining seats available at the time theyrespond. Candidates who do not avail of the second opportunity will forfeit their claim for admission.
Guardians are advised in their own interest to ensure that their wards respond to the call of students
names/merit order numbers.
Once the candidate has given the order of preference at the time of admission to the Admission Officer, thesame cannot be changed.
No change of course is allowed once admission has been given in a particular course. Migrationfrom one Institute to the other institute will not be allowed during 1st year in any circumstances.
12. FEE STRUCTURE
Following shall be the details of fees payable for first term at the time of admission and as notified by thePrincipal for subsequent terms. The fee shall be payable before specified dates.
