Merawat Baterai Laptop dengan Battery Care 9.8  BatteryCare 9.8 adalah software perawatan baterai laptop modern, sebab software ini akan memberi informasi detail tentang kondisi baterai yang terpasang pada laptop. Software ini juga memonitor siklus-discharge baterai dan membantu meningkatkan masa pakai baterai.Yang paling penting dalam menggunakan software ini adalah melakukan Kalibrasi, ini dijelaskan dibagian bawah.

Features

Battery's discharge cycles monitoring . Dengan algoritma yang akurat untuk merekam siklus discharge. Saat jumlah siklus yang telah disetting  tercapai, sebuah peringatan akan muncul untuk melakukan full-discharge.

Complete battery information . Detil info tentang remaining-time, tingkat pemakaian, kapasitas, konsumsi dll.

CPU and HDD temperature reading . Memonitor temperatur cpu dan harddrive, sebab semakin tinggi temperatur akan menyerap daya battery lebih besar.

Automatic power plans switching . Tergantung sumber daya yang dipakai, dapat otomatis berpindah pada power-plant yang sudah disetting sebelumnya.

Control over Windows Aero and demanding Services . Otomatis me-nonaktifkan Aero-theme dan layanan yang menyerap daya batery. Ketika laptop tidak beroperasi menggunakan battery, maka theme dan service akan kembali aktif.

Notification area information . Fitur popup yang berisi informasi penting tentang battery, seperti temperatur, status charge, waktu tersisa, dan mode power plan.

Auto-updates . Program akan meng-update sendiri, bila tersedia file update terbaru.

Lightweight in the system . Tidak akan memberatkan sistem, hanya menggunakan 0,1%dari resource pc.

Gambar gambar dibawah akan memberi gambaran jelas tentang apa yang diberikan oleh software ini, klik gambar untuk tampilan lebih besar.

Melakukan Kalibrasi (calibration) 

Charge battery sampai penuh 100%.

Biarkan battery selama 2 jam untuk mendinginkan panas dari proses charging. Dalam periode ini laptop bisa dipakai seperti biasa, tetapi lepaskan adaptor.

Lakukan seting pada automatic-hybernate seperti gambar dibawah ini. 

Biarkan laptop discharge sampai hibernasi sendiri. Laptop bisa sambil tetap digunakan.

Ketika laptop shutdown sendiri, biarkan dalam kondisi hibernasi selama 5 jam. Hal ini diperlukan agar battery mencapai muatan-sisa 5%.

Tancapkan adaptor, dan biarkan mengisi non stop sampai full-charge 100%.

Setelah dilakukan kalibrasi, maka Battery Care akan memberikan informasi yang benar tentang kondisi battery yang sesungguhnya. Gambar dibawah ini adalah urutan langkah melakukan kalibrasi baterai untuk software Battery Care 9.8.

cara mengatasinya dengan kalibrasi,, cara saya utk kalibrasi, charger dulu sampai full, setelah itu tingkatkan kecerahan layar monitor hingga full,, setelah itu reboot saat booting tekan F8 nanti ada pilihan, dan pilih safe mode (charger jangan dul dicabut),, nahhh window yg akan tampil adalah warna hitam, tanpa software tambahan yg aktif,, setelah itu cabut charger, dan biarkan laptop hidup sampai mati (batre habis),, biasanya ini saya lakukan saat waktu luang, saat saya sedang santai tidak memerlukan bantuan laptop,, :) setelah mati,, charger kembali sampai full (jg dulu dihidupkan), setelah full baru hidupkan kembali,, jika ada pilihan lg, pilih start window normaly,

Testing and Calibrating the battery using HP System Diagnostics in Windows 8 (preferred method)To test the battery using the HP System Diagnostics using the UEFI interface, start with the computer off and unplugged from the power. Use the following instructions to test the battery:

1. Unplug the power cord and turn off the computer.

2. Press the power button to turn on the computer.

3. Immediately press the Esc key and press it repeatedly while the computer starts.

The UEFI Start Up menu opens.

4. Press F2 to select F2 System Diagnostics .

5. Select Component Tests from the list of Hardware Diagnostic options

6. Select Battery Test from the list of component tests.

7. Click Run once .

8. The Battery Test page shows Test in progress and the Estimated Time Remaining.

When the test completes, one of the messages and suggested actions from the following table displays:

Passed The battery is functioning properly.

The battery does not need calibration. Read the remainder of the message for more information.

Calibrate The battery is functioning correctly, but it needs to be

The battery is functioning correctly, but due to normal aging of the battery, the battery life between charges is now significantly shorter than when it was new.

The battery should be replaced to get the most working time out of your battery. If your computer is within its warranty period, you can contact HP support to verify if your battery is covered under the warranty.

No Battery A battery is not detected. A battery is not installed or detected in the battery compartment. If a battery is installed, remove the battery and inspect the pins to see if there is dirt or other foreign matter blocking the connection. Fully insert a battery into the compartment if a battery was not inserted and you want to test the battery in that compartment.

Unknown HP Battery Check was unable to access the battery.

Remove and reinsert the battery. You might need to download and install all the updates from HP Support Assistant.

Testing and calibrating the battery using HP Support Assistant in Windows 8

HP Battery Check is a utility in HP Support Assistant that provides a simple but accurate test of the battery.

To use the HP Support Assistant to check and calibrate the battery, follow the instructions in this section:

1. At the Start screen, type HP Support Assistant to open the Search charm, and then select HP Support Assistant in the Search results.

2. A welcome screen appears if it has not been deactivated. Use this screen to set how HP Support Assistant handles updates, whether a taskbar icon or pop-ups are displayed, and to share anonymous usage data with HP. Remove the check next to Show this screen when I open HP Support Assistant to avoid seeing this window in the future.

3. Click Next to go to the HP Support Assistant main page.

4. To access the HP diagnostic tools using HP Support Assistant, click the My computer button from the main page.

5. Click the Diagnostics tab, and then click the HP Battery Check box.

6. HP Battery Check displays the test results when the test is complete.

Status results you might see are:

Passed Calibrate

Replace Weak or Very Weak Failure with an ID number No Battery

With each status result you see, there are on-screen instructions. Follow the instructions to calibrate or replace the battery as needed.

Manually Calibrating the battery in Windows 8Manually calibrating the battery requires four steps: fully charge the battery, discharge or drain the battery, recharge the battery, and then run the battery test. Calibrating the battery improves the accuracy of the battery gauge software so that it more accurately displays the current level of charge.

NOTE:When possible, use HP System Diagnostics (described above) to test the battery and get calibration instructions. The following instructions are for a manual method and works with most battery types.

Step 1: Charge the battery

1. Plug in the power cord.

2. Charge the battery to a full charge.

3. When the battery is fully charged, proceed.

Step 2: Discharge the battery

1. Disconnect the power cord.

2. Shutdown the computer.

3. Press the power button to start the computer.

4. Immediately press the Esc key and press it repeatedly while the computer starts.

You might have to try this more than once to see the Startup Menu menu. If Windows opens, shut down the computer and start again.

5. Press F2 to select F2 System Diagnostics in the Startup Menu .

6. Click System Tests , and then click Extensive Test .

7. Click Loop until error and allow the battery to fully discharge while doing the test

NOTE:You are doing the Hard Disk Test only to drain or discharge the battery, not to get the results of the test. The battery discharges and the computer turns off before the test results display.

Step 3: Recharge the battery

1. Plug in the power cord to charge the battery.

2. Charge the battery to a full charge, 99%-100%.

3. Check the battery charge. Turn on the computer and start Windows normally. Click to go to the Desktop. Mouse over the battery icon in the system tray.

NOTE:The battery continues to charge with the computer on or off.4. To be sure the computer reaches a full charge, keep the computer attached to the

power cord for (at least) 2.5 hours.

NOTE: If you plug in your power cord and immediately run the HP Battery Check, you might get a false failure showing the battery is bad. If the battery is in a low charge state (at less than 3%) you might also get a false reading.

Step 4: Run the battery test

1. Ensure that the power cord is plugged in.

2. Press the power button to start the computer.

3. Immediately press the Esc key and press it repeatedly while the computer starts.

The Start Up menu opens.

4. Press F2 to select F2 System Diagnostics in the startup menu.

5. From the HP PC Hardware Diagnostic UEFI screen, click Component Tests

6. From the Component Tests screen, click Battery .

7. Click Run once on the Battery Test screen.

The Battery Test page shows Test in progress and displays the Estimated Time Remaining.

If the battery status is “Calibrate”, follow the instruction to calibrate the battery. If the battery does not calibrate a second time it might need to be replaced. Purchase a new battery by contacting www.hp.com .

Bagaimana cara kalibrasi baterai laptop secara manual?
