a n d t h e n e w t y p o g r a p h yThe Bauhaus was an art school founded nearly a cen-tury ago in 1919 by Walter Groupius. It was situated in Weimar, Germany and hosted a new generation of designers who wanted to make positive changes. At the school students were taught to focus on the “productivity of design”, and as a result they were designing in a practical sense rather than for aesthetic. In the practice of graphic design they strived to deliver

Jan Tschichold, a key member of the group of Radical German Advertising Designers, was an advocate for asymmetric design. He said that “the purpose of the new typography is functionality”. He liked exploring the composition of uneven line lengths and playing around with weight of type and kerning.
Bauhaus and The New Typography had a huge impact on the introduction of san serif typography in Germa-ny. Before the Bauhaus, German posters would use blackletter but the Bauhaus went against nazi ideals and wanted to moved away from blackletter. The new

Our Campaign#TooToughForTears is a mental health campaign targeted at males. 3/4 suicides are commited by men and we want to address this by getting men to share their story and begin to break down stigmas.

BriefTo work collaboratively to make a stand within a protest.
Our ProtestOur protest was a demand for fair pay in the creative industry. We found examples of designers who have been exploited and we used their stories to design placards in which we could ‘name and shame’ the culprits.

BriefLipsync is a video conferencing app that provides subtitles in real time for deaf/hard of hearing users in order for them to independently communicate with their family and friends.
How does it work?It uses facial recognition technology to track the lip shapes made by the speaker and translates them into text.
