Meet our academic leadership team

In the School of Media & IT, students work alongsidecreative media, IT, networking and multimedia specialists who offer real technical, industrial, creative and academic expertise. In turn, our faculty members work with students to produce a lively learning experience.

The Computer Science programmes offered at Prague College allow students to acquire a broad range of knowledge and skills responsive to current developments in the world of computing and IT. Furthermore, at Bachelor’s level students can choose to further specialise and focus on Cybersecurity or Multimedia development.

Similarly, the Creative Media Production programme is a progressive degree meeting the market’s need for creative content creators across a fast developing range of platforms. The programme challenges students to become original creators of digital media content by exploring their creativity, developing project management skills and by delivering innovative, original work to real life clients.

Our overall method is to put students at the centre of the learning experience, with the lecturers there to guide, inspire, and facilitate project work, allowing students to gain valuable experience for themselves. Students work to international media & IT industry standards and practices, learning how to analyse and think critically and professionally.

The School of Media & IT is developing into one of the most innovative faculties in the country. In cooperation with the Fine Art Department of the School of Art & Design, students have worked on programming and 3D visualisation for a number of projects including UndergroundCity XXI. This European Commission-funded programme brought Prague College together with teams from Austria, Croatia and France to develop a 3D virtual environment that was distributed over the internet to provide a platform for real-time virtual collaboration.

I’ve always loved computer sciences. The best thing about Prague College is the opportunity to learn in an international environment, and to be able to meet like-minded individuals from all over the world. I really believe making such ties is very important for the future. Obviously, the teachers are brilliant, and they provide a learning environment which is very practical and unlike some universities. Having the opportunity to display my research in publications such as the official college Bulletin is also a very big plus for me.
