IN WA TRANSPORT MAGAZINE
With WA’s own rules/regulations and different equipment usage than other Australian states, it makes sense it has its
own dedicated transport publication that has relative information for its readers.
For over 21 years (2015) WA Transport Magazine (WATM) has been reaching the decision-makers (Directors through to Operations Managers) in the Transport related industries of Western Australia. These sectors include freight transportation (Owner Driver through to Fleet), Mining, Drilling, Civil, Rural, Contractors, Construction, Development, Local Government plus many hundreds of businesses who rely on transport equipment to operate their enterprises.
With over 12,000 readers per edition, WATM has a long and loyal readership who appreciate the entirely ‘local content’
because it is relevant to Western Australia.
What the readers say… “I have enjoyed your excellent magazine and encourage you to continue the great work you are doing for the industry.” Timothy Dixon (Owner Operator) “I enjoyed Carol Messenger’s column, as I enjoy every issue of WA Transport Magazine.” Michael Pal, Principal Logistics Analyst Fremantle Ports “I would like to commend you and your magazine for representing the transport industry and congratulations on your induction into the Shell Hall of Fame. Well done.” Gil Wainwright, Innaloo “Cheerio and best wishes to all my trucking mates and struggling subbies. I will keep subscribing to your excellent magazine.” Robert Bawden, Bawden Haulage Pty Ltd “Great magazine” Leece Johnston (Owner Operator)
“I have been reading your magazine for more than a decade and I want to commend you on where you have taken it in the last couple of years. To pick up a magazine and read it
from cover to cover finding every bit of information relevant is indeed an achievement. Well done and keep up the good
work.” Name and address supplied. “I just read Peter Swift’s column ‘Trailer Thefts’. Well done to Peter, keep calling it as you see it and above all else keep up the good work.” Doug Healy, CEO Steel Haul “Steven Guerinoni our Managing Director subscribes to WATM and we found an image of our prime mover in the Private Road Haulage story. I would like to say here at Guerinoni and Son in the remote township of Kununurra, it was a complete joy of acknowledgement. We will be framing the article.” Sue Modra, Guerinoni Group of Companies “Sorry I have not subscribed sooner. A lot on my plate running a one-man business. Great magazine. Very informative with rules, regulations etc. Keep up the good work.” Bruce Westwood, Mini Bobcat Hire

I know how to tie a load down and restrain it safely, follow the road rules and think about the safety of others, however, I do not want to be glued to a computer to be looking out for changes to regulations on the internet. That is a beauty of having our own West Australian magazine - WA Transport. It is delivered straight to my mail box, so entails no more than just a walk down the driveway to get it, and within is all the relative and important information I need in 'layman's terms'. That's what I want, something that is easy to understand that's straight to the point. Peter Swift Owner Operator - Western Australia

ABOUT THE PUBLISHER
The WA Transport Magazine (WATM) is
a West Australian owned and run
business.
The publisher of WATM – Karen-
Maree’ Kaye has 30 years publishing
experience and has been the driving force
behind WATM since the late 1990’s.
This unique publication holds the highest
penetration to the transport sectors of WA
than any other medium known and its
popularity amongst reader’s lies in the fact
that it holds only relevant information and
gives industry a voice.
This helps WA operators get their message
heard by bureaucracy and other industries
they work with.
WA Transport Magazine is of a very high
quality in not only content but also design
and print. Environmental practices in all
areas are of the highest available.
Karen is very hands on and deals directly
with everyone from the readers to the
advertisers of the magazine through to the
writers and creative.
This personal approach gives a high level of
customer focus and attention.
“From my experience readers relate best to
information that it not only local, but
relevant. Many of WATM’s writers are
people who actually ‘do the job’. They know
what they are talking about.
“This ensures that the magazine is read
from cover to cover which in turn benefits
all the advertisers,” says Karen.
Karen was presented in 2000 with the
Livestock Transporters Associations
President’s Award for outstanding
industry contribution. In 2002 and
2011 she was a finalist for the WA Road
Transport Associations Woman of the

inducted into the National Transport
Hall of Fame for her contribution to the
transport sector. As well as publishing
WA Transport Magazine, she has
produced a national safety publication
that gives the distances of all facilities
on regional roads throughout Australia
called On the Road - Trucks.
