Welcome to your new Level 2 course. Over the next year you will be covering a range of topics

and completing a number of projects that will allow you to get an idea of the jobs available in the media industry.

This booklet has been designed to give you a complete overview of the year and the areas you will be covering for each project. All of the resources you will need will be available to you through Google Classroom and your Google Drive.

For each project you will get the opportunity to explore the various production techniques used to create a finished product. Each piece of work is coursework based and throughout the year you will need to research, create and evaluate each project. This course has been created to give you the opportunity to learn the skills to enable you to progress onto a Level 3 course or alternatively into work experience. You are responsible for your own learning and we hope you push yourself to show us your full creative potential.

Did you know that all web browsers display your web pag-es slightly differently. Therfore it is important to test your con-tent using a variety of browsers.

The Html code that is used to create a website helps search engines identi-fy what content is on the page and how best to cate-gorize it when you search.

Statistics show that if your website is too cluttered, peo-ple are likely to leave and find a different website with the same information just because it’s easier to read.

Part 3Once you have an idea of what you hope your site to look like and how you will embed your content, you need to do the following:

Create a website layoutupload/creaate conent for siteGet feedback about your pages - ease of use & designEvaluate your site in relation to feedback
