FAQs, Suggestions, Reminders

Page 59: MEA CI RPACE Open Dialogue

PROGRAM COMMITTEE

Page 60: MEA CI RPACE Open Dialogue

FAQs

How can you ensure that a delegation as big as this can absorb the message of the CI as whole? The delegation will be segmentized according to age

and spiritual exposure. One focus area will be developed per day. Several methodologies will be used to reinforce the

concepts (e.g. medium group events, big group sessions and bible study sessions)

The expertise of our Pastors, Deaconesses, and Young Adults to translate biblical concepts into practical spiritual practices will be very crucial.

Page 61: MEA CI RPACE Open Dialogue

FAQs

What do you plan to do as an aftermath of the CI? Work in partnership with our local Pastors to strengthen the

understanding and appreciation of the UMYFs of their Methodist roots

Develop opportunities for the UMYFs to learn more about their passion for service (e.g. environment, minority groups, illiterate children, etc.) utilizing social multimedia and learning sessions

Create an avenue where they can respond to this passion for service

Ensure that this avenue will translate to a financial pool to donate to one specific mission church under the RPACE UMYF as a statement of solidarity before 2011 ends.

Page 62: MEA CI RPACE Open Dialogue

Additional Inquiries

How will the Evangelistic Night sessions be managed? Will there be any counseling sessions after which? The Pastors will play a very crucial role during the

Evangelistic Night MEA CI Program Committee will ensure that the Counseling

section will be mobilized during the Evangelistic Night. The MEA Program Committee Head requested for the

support of RPACE in forming and mobilizing this unit as it one of the strengths of RPACE.

The coordination with RPACE regarding the formation of the counseling team shall be done by the MEA Program Committee.

Page 63: MEA CI RPACE Open Dialogue

Additional Inquiries

If workers are mandated to attend as facilitators for the MEA CI, what will be the implications of this to the local churches? Local churches are encouraged to support their Pastors

to attend the CI by shouldering their Pastor’s registration fee.

It was suggested that the District Superintendents identify specific names of the Pastors who will be the BS leaders per district as soon as possible.

Page 64: MEA CI RPACE Open Dialogue

Additional Inquiries

Will mission churches who cannot join the MEA CI have their own parallel activity? A post CI event shall be organized where they can

participate.

Page 65: MEA CI RPACE Open Dialogue

Reminders

Please ensure that a clear discussion and fair approach will be done regarding the principles of prophetic ministry (and/or advocacy) across all levels of understanding.

On Nov 13 at Harris Memorial College, during the BS Leaders Orientation, a discussion on the specifics of the content will be done. Please attend for more clarification.

Also, on Oct 29-30, the CILT will also dry run on the topics and activities. Please attend for more clarification.

Motions

All UMM District Presidents are requested to coordinate with their UMM members to serve as marshals for the MEA CI.

RPACE-UMYAF declared support for the MEA CI needs (facilitators, medical teams, etc). An official communication will be sent across local churches informing them of these needs.

WSCS members are also encouraged to take an active part in the MEA CI.

FAQs What are the details of the P2105 full registration cost?

1075: Accommodation and Program Materials 400: Transportation 600: Food 30: Secretariat, Promotional, Contingency

How much will RPACE raise in order to subsidize the P 2105 full cost? Minimum of P 51,825.00 (for 150) and Maximum of

P120,925.00 (for 350). Are registration fees transferrable?

Yes. Pre-registration fees are transferrable but NON-REFUNDABLE.

Page 76: MEA CI RPACE Open Dialogue

Questions

What happens if the target amount to be raised is not reached? By faith, we will reach this through collaborative (from annual to local)

effort. Otherwise, a fixed ratio of subsidy will be computed and applied in the

registration rate, depending on the number of confirmed registrants by December 5.

How much is the current fund of the RPACE-UMYF to date? As of October 16, P4,000.00 The financial statements shall be presented to the COM of the two

RPACE Districts.

Page 77: MEA CI RPACE Open Dialogue

Suggestions

D.S. Mabuti suggested to look into the option of a senior UMYFer to sponsor a new UMYFer to join the CI. This was referred back to the UMYF who shall be responsible in drafting the sponsorship letter.

Pastor Francis Pera suggested to tap local churches who can provide transportation support (back and forth) to possibly cut on overall cost, BUT their local delegates will still pay the same registration fee. This was referred back to the RPACE Technical Committee for review and to check churches who are willing to provide the support, given that they will be committing back and forth transportation, and that the over-all goals of safety & security and time management will be achieved.
