LIMITATIONS1. The typical maximum depth of Commercial Topping is 3" (76 mm). For depths greater than 3" (76 mm) or for installation instructions over Level-Right Self Leveling products, consult Maxxon Corporation.2. Commercial Topping may be scheduled before or after drywall is installed. Due to the unique nature of light gauge steel construction, it may be necessary to pour Commercial Topping before doors and windows are installed. Contact Maxxon Corporation for installation details.3. All materials above crawl spaces must be protected by a vapor barrier.4. During construction, place temporary wood planking over the underlayment wherever it will be subjected to heavy wheeled or concentrated loads.5. Commercial Topping is not designed to be installed on or below grade, except over well-drained structural substrates.6. Commercial Topping cannot resist stresses caused by structural movement.7. The structural floor should be adequate to withstand design loads, including construction loads, with deflection limitations of L/360. The structural subfloor and floor joist must both comply with manufacturers’ maximum span criteria. Typically a deflection limitation of L/360 is adequate for Maxxon Underlayments. Some floor coverings may require a stiffer floor system. Maxxon Underlayments are non-structural and therefore cannot be expected to reinforce structurally deficient subfloors. Necessary

allowances should be made for expected live, concentrated, impact, and/or dead loads including the weight of finished floor goods and setting beds.8. Additional consideration should be taken for concentrated/dynamic loads. U.S. building codes typically specify a uniform live load of 40 pounds per square foot for residential floor designs. This load is intended to account for large loads that can occur in a building. In reality these loads are not uniform, but rather consist of items such as furniture and appliances that actually induce concentrated loads far exceeding 40 lbs per sq ft. Rolling concentrated loads such as office chairs, wheelchairs, and motorized scooters add turning, twisting, repetition, and other dynamics which should also be taken into consideration. Determining the appropriate structural design of the floor is not the responsibility of Maxxon or the Maxxon applicator.10. Commercial Topping should not be used for exterior application or where it will come in prolonged contact with water. 11. Commercial Topping should not be directly applied to a plastic vapor barrier.12. Maxxon Underlayments are not a vapor barrier. The general contractor/project superintendent, architect, specifier, or building owner shall test below grade, on grade, or elevated slabs for MVER (ASTM F1869) or RH (ASTM F2170). If the MVER or RH of the concrete substrate exceeds the floor covering manufacturer’s respective requirements for the finished flooring system, the concrete should be treated with a moisture vapor barrier, such as Maxxon DPM or Maxxon MVP, before installing a Maxxon Underlayment.

Maxxon strongly recommends determining the RH content (%) on slabs to be treated using in situ probes, as per ASTM F2170. Alternatively, Anhydrous Calcium Chloride testing may be used to determine the MVER (Moisture vapor emission rate) in lb/24 hrs • 1000 ft2 (grams/hr • m2) as per ASTM F1869. The testing must be carried out before application of a Maxxon Moisture Vapor Barrier to obtain Maxxon warranty.

GENERAL CARE RESIDENTIAL AND LIGHT COMMERCIAL• Do not allow dust, dirt, grime or grit to accumulate on the floor. They

will cause scratches and deterioration of the finish.• Walk-off mats should be placed inside and outside at all exterior exits.

They should be cleaned and/or replaced on a regular basis.• Make sure that pebbles are not lodged in the sole of footwear.• Do not slide furniture or appliances across the coating. Always lift

objects to be moved completely above the floor.• Immediately wipe up all spills.• Chair pads must be placed under all chairs with rollers or wheels.• Felt pads should be placed under the legs of furniture without roller

or wheels.• Pet claws should be trimmed.• Hairline cracks may reflect through the coatings, should the substrate

crack.

DECOCOLORDecoColor is a solid color, seamless, resinous flooring system that combines a urethane wear coat for excellent abrasion and staining resistance. Finished thickness of the three-coat system is approximately 25 to 30 mils or 1/32". With the option of a customized textured surface for slip resistance, it’s ideal for many commercial and industrial environments.

DECOFLAKEThermal-Chem Decorative Flake floor systems can be installed as a “full” flake, “random,” or partial broadcast to produce a durable and attractive wear surface. These unique surfaces combine decorative acrylic flakes with the most advanced resin technology to create a terrazzo-like appearance. When matched with an appropriate clear topcoat of epoxy, polyurea or urethane, these systems can be designed to perform even in the most severe environments.
