INTRODUCTION

SITUATED IN SOUTH EASTERN PART OF RAJNAGAR COLLIERY AREA AND ABOUT 15 KM FROM AREA HQ RAJNAGAR RO 5&6 MINE IS LOCATED ABOUT 2 KM . NAME OF THE SEAM BEING WORKED: BIJURI RAILWAY STATION AND ABOUT 8 KM NORTH WEST OF KOTMA RAILWAY STAION.

A METALLED ROAD LINKING ANUPPUR TO MANENDRAGARH PASSAS PARALLEL TO NORTH BOUNDARY OF THE MINE . IT IS APPROACHABLE FROM RAJNAGAR TOWN BY A 3 KM LONG METALLED ROAD AND IS IN THE ANUPPUR DISTRICT OF MADHYA PRADESH .

INTRODUCTIONTHE SEAM IS THE LOWEST ONE OUT OF THE FOUR

COAL BOARING HORIZON FOUND IN THE AREA AND IS APPROACHED THROUGH A PAIR OF INCLINE NO. 5 AND NO. 6 .BOTH THE INCLINE ARE USED AS INTAKE AIRWAYS . RETURN OF THE MINE IS THROUGH THE AIR SHAFT WITH AN AXIAL FLOW EXHAUST FAN INSTALLED THERE ON.

THE MAIN STARTED PRODUCING COAL IN 1990. PRODUCTION TARGET IS MEET BY WORKING TWO PANELS A MECHANISED SDL PANEL LOADING ON CONVEYORS BELT PONIES AND A MANUAL PANEL THE COAL BEING LOADED.

THE MAIN PRODUCED 154216 Te. IN THE PROCEEDING YEAR .THE TARGET OF PRESENT YEAR IS 389420 Te. AND DURING THE CURRENT YEAR WE HAVE PRODUCED 325422 UP TO Dec. 2013

THE VENTILATION STOPPINGS AND AIR

CROSSINGS HAVE BEEN AND BEING MADE AND MAINTAINED . LEAKAGES ARE BEING CHECKED AND MINIMISED .

THE EFFECTIVE TEMPERATURE INALL THE DISTRICT IS BEING MAINTAINED AROUND 25DEG C.

DISCRIPTION RAJNAGAR 5/6 MINE IS A UNDERGROUND MINE AND THE SEAM IN WHICH THE

DEVELOPMENT AS WELL AS DEPILLARING METHOD IS GOING ON. RAJNAGAR MINE WAS STARTED ON MARCH 1976 AND AT THE TIME OF SURVEY ITS AGE IS ESTIMATED 35 YEAR . BUT THE PRODUCTION FROM THE 5 & 6 MINE IS STILL IN PROGRESS. RAJNAGAR 5/6 MINE IS 9KM FROM BIJURI RAILWAY STATION. RAJNAGAR 5/6 MINE IS IN SHALLOW DEPTH . SO THE INCLINE OPENING METHOD IS ADOPTED. IN THE INCLINE OPENING THERE IS TWO PATH ONE FOR THE IN AND OUT OF MAN POWER WHICH IS CONNECTED TO THE INCLINE AND THE SECOND IS THE INCLINE ITSELF WHERE THE TRANSPORTATION OF MATERIAL TAKE PLACE WITH THE HELP OF HAULAGE TRACLINE MADE FOR MATERIAL TRANSPORTATION . THE TRANSPORTATION OF MATERIAL INCLUDE HEAVY MACHINERY i.e. SAND ,BRICK , WIRE, etc. WHICH ARE USEFUL AND VALUABLE FOR THE MINE . THE TRANSPORTATION ARE DONE WITH THE TUBS . THE TUBS USED FOR THE TRANSPORTATION ARE OPERATED BY THE ROPE WHICH PULL THE TUBS BY THE ELECTRICALLY OPERATED MOTER ON WHICH THE ROPE IS WOUNDED IN A ROUND . IN THE RAJNAGAR 5/6 MINE WHEN WE ENTER INSIDE THE MINE THEN THE FLOOR THE SEAM AT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE HAULAGE THERE IS A PUMP ON WHICH ALL THE WATER OF THE MINE IS STORED AND THEIR IT IS PUMPED OUT . IF WE PROCEED FURTHER IN STRATED WAY THEN THE HAULAGE IS DIVIDED INTO TWO PATH RIGHT PROCEED TO THE DEVELOPMENT AND LEFT TO THE DEPILLARING FACE. AT THE DEVELOPMENT SIDE THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS IS IN PROGRESS BY DRILLING AND BLASTING METHOD.IN ADDITION TO THAT THE CONSTRUCTION OF HAULAGE AS WELL AS SUPPORT AND OTHER ELECTRICAL CONNECTION ARE DONE . THE TRANSPORTATION OF THE COAL IS DONE WITH THE HELP OF SIDE DISCHARGE LOADER (SDL) IN WHICH THE COAL IS LOADED AND DISCHARGED TO THE TUBS FROM WHERE IT IS TAKEN TO THE TIPPLER WITH THE HELP OF ROPE OR DIRECTLY TRANSPORTED TO THE CONVEYOR BELT FROM IT IS TAKEN TO THE SURFACE AND LOADED TO THE TRUCKS AND TRANSPORTED TO MAIN VEHICLE i.e. RAILWAY TUBS FROM WHERE IT IS TAKEN BY THE POWERPLANT.
