Writing Writing Instructions
You are going to be writing instructions.
Here are some instructions I have written on how to thread a needle.
When writing instructs there are some things you must include:
- A title (to explain what the instructions are for)
- A list of what is needed
- The steps to follow
Task 1: Use my instructions to find the things on the list.
When you find them tick them off of your list and highlight or underline them in the text.

How to thread a needle
You will need:
• a sewing needle• thread• Sharp scissors
Instructions:
First cut the end of your thread with sharp scissors because this will make it easier.
Next pinch the thread between your thumb and index finger.
After that use your other hand to bring your thread and needle together.
Then pull the thread through the needle until you are almost at the end.
Finally tie a knot on the end of your thread so it doesn’t slip through the needle.
