Yoga is a form of exercise which is about 5,000 years old, originating in India. The word “yoga,”
loosely translated from the Sanskrit language, means “union.” Yoga poses involve a combination of
stretching, breathing and mental relaxation (meditation). Many yoga poses have names that draw
on elements of nature (animals, landmarks), which can intrigue children and stimulate their efforts.
Include in the pack you have some yoga poses to try out. Remember to warm up first, drink plenty
of water and open some windows so you have a flow of air.

We are approaching our summer holidays. For geography you
are to create a holiday leaflet. You will need to research some
facts about the place that you want to include in your leaflet.
We have been learning about how food reaches our plate, you
have to design a healthy eating plate by including vegetables,
carbohydrates, protein and dairy. Do remember to include a
healthy drink.

QFL: Why do we keep promises with each other?
Why should we be loyal? Everyone likes to keep their word and say they will
do something for others. Promises play a major role in people’s daily lives. In
your learning pack, there is a story about Abraham and Sarah when God made
a promise to them and kept his word. Use the story in your learning pack, or read
it on the internet:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/judaism/history/abraham_1.shtml
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p010xcrh
Then, retell the story in your own words, maybe as a story board with writing
and pictures. How would you be loyal to your friend? What would you do?
Why? Link to our values and RRSA.

• How long would it take?
• Is there a beach or a landmark that you must see?
• Is the place famous for some food?
• What would you do there?
• Would the whole family enjoy it?
