MATH CONCONCEPT READER là bộ sách dạy toán của nhà xuất bản HARCOURT SCHOOL PUBLISHERS. Bộ này đi qua tất cả các lớp từ mẫu giáo đến tiểu học, trung học cơ sở ...vv.Nội dung của sách là dạy toán, nhưng không phải cứng nhắc như kiểu sách giáo khoa, nhưng dạy cách học và ứng dụng toán trong đời sống thực tiễn hàng ngày. Toán học ở biển, toán học ở hội chợ, toán học ở nông trại ...vv. Trẻ tưởng chừng đang đọc những câu chuyện hay, nhưng thực ra đó là sách toán. Vì thế, việc tiếp cận với toán trở nên nhẹ nhàng nhưng sinh động, chứ không nặng nề và khô khan.Mỗi cấp độ có 8 quyển với các chủ đề tương ứng với trình độ & nội dung môn toán của cấp lớp đó. Mình thấy trình độ & nội dung khá tương ứng với chương trình của Việt Nam.Ngoài cấp độ Pre-K ra, thì các cấp độ khác đều có tiếng. Bạn click vào hình cái loa ở bên cạnh dòng chữ trong sách. Giọng đọc chuẩn, tốc độ vừa phải, giúp bé học thêm về tiếng Anh.Tóm lược tượng trưng nội dung của Lớp 2 nhé :Những nội dung bé sẽ học ở lớp 2 bao gồm :1) Học về hình thể : hình trụ, elipse, đa giác ... thông qua trò chơi xây dựng công viên trong mưa2) Học cách cộng trừ 2 chữ số và phép nhân chia 1 chữ số thông qua 1 ngày bán quầy hàng căng-tin. Trong quyển này bạn sẽ thấy cách nhớ số khi cộng/trừ >10 của nước ngoài không giống với cách mà chúng ta học hồi còn bé. Mình thích cách họ ghi chú hàng chục cần nhớ lên phía trên, giúp bé dễ hình dung hơn.3) Học về "đúp bồ", nghĩa là gấp 2 lần, trong một ngày vui chơi ở nông trại.4) Tổng hợp các phép tính khi tính toán chuẩn bị cho một bữa tiệc5) Học cách trả tiền, nhận tiền thối khi đi mua sách6) Học về cách tính khoảng cách đường đi là bao nhiêu dặm/km khi tính toán đi du lịch7) Học cách so sánh số ít, số nhiều và lập các biểu đồ đơn giản để hiển thị sự so sánh đó qua việc chọn lựa các món uống, món ăn8) Học về thời gian thông qua thời gian biểu một ngày học tập và sinh hoạt của các bé.
