Outcomes

These courses will enable you to:

• develop knowledge and understanding of evaluation theory and practice

• make effective use of evaluation literature and research

• apply understandings of evaluation theory and methods to a range of professional settings

• demonstrate an appreciation of professional responsibilities and ethical principles that characterise leaders in the evaluation field.

Pathways

• Graduate Certificate graduates may be eligible for 50 points of credit towards the Masters course, and a range of other graduate coursework programs

• Students who are interested in completing a thesis are encouraged to apply for the Master of Evaluation - Research. Graduates from this program are eligible to apply for entry to the Doctor of Education program or a PhD.

Graduate Certificate in Evaluation Master of Evaluation Master of Evaluation - Research

Duration 6 months full-time, 12 months part-time 1 year full-time, 2 years part-time 18 months full-time, 3 years part-time

Content 50 points of coursework comprising:

• 2 x compulsory 12.5 point subjects • 2 x elective 12.5 point subjects.

100 points of coursework comprising:

• 4 x compulsory 12.5 point subjects (including the capstone requirement)• 4 x elective 12.5 point subjects.

50 points of coursework comprising:

• 2 x compulsory 12.5 point subjects• 2 x elective 12.5 point subjects.

100 points of thesis^ comprising:

• 20,000 word thesis.

Minimum entry requirements

• A four-year undergraduate degree, or • A three-year undergraduate degree and either, a postgraduate qualification, or least three years of documented relevant work experience.

All applicants must also submit:

• A personal statement (up to 400 words) summarising relevant prior study, work experience and why they wish to be considered for the course.

^ Research students must maintain a grade average of 75% in all coursework to progress to thesis.

All students must meet English language requirements.

Delivery mode These courses are offered in two modes: fully online or a combination of on-campus and online.

Subjects are delivered in four 8-week terms per year and most electives are available online only.
