(2 * 74) + (2 * 71) = 143 + 111 + (2 * 18) 148 + 142 = 143 + 111 + 36 290 = 290 Purity of Ca(OH) 2 = 90% w/w 1) For 290 kg of SBP required Hydrated Lime = 148*(100/90) = 164.5 Kg For 1 kg of SBP required hydrated Lime = 164.5/290 = 0.567 Kg For 1000 kg of SBP required Hydrated Lime = .567 * 1000 = 567 Kg 2) The final SBP contains 27% free Ca(OH) 2 which is 153 Kg. Therefore total Ca(OH) 2 used = 567+153 = 720 Kg
