Dear Parents & Care Givers,

I mentioned in a previous newsletter the plan to revamp the main parent entrance to the school. As of today I still have not received any input from the wider community. I do appreciate you may not have the time available to commit to organised meetings however I am still keen to hear your ideas. This can be achieved through speaking to me on the phone or an informal chat. Cyberbullying is often difficult to observe as it mostly occurs in private. Education Qld has provided access to a learning opportunity, Parentline Cyberbullying, for you as a parent to assist in supporting your child if the need arises. Parentline Cyberbullying support training has been designed for use by all adults who care for older children and teens at risk of, or already have experiences with cyberbullying. This training is FREE and available 24/7 via any internet enabled device. The Parentline Cyberbullying training will be helpful to parents, carers and grandparents who are: Nervous or fearful of using the internet or new devices

Anxious about their young ones using the internet Concerned cyberbullying may be impacting their child

SCHOOL NEWS SCHOOL NEWS

On Saturday 5th December, in proud partnership with Variety, and our won-derful friends at Hit105, we are once again hosting the largest, FREE, Christ-mas Party for Special Children in Queensland. This is our 26th anniver-sary of the Party and it will run from 10:30am until 2:30pm at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The Party is still scheduled to go ahead for 2020, in some form or another. We have purchased the toys and depend-ing on Government regulations due to COVID-19, we have a Plan A, B, C and D.

A form has been sent home to eligible students to register your interest, which needs to be returned to the school before 27th August, thanks.
