Its main purpose of establishment was to meet the growing demand of a personal mode of transport, caused by the lack of an efficient public transport system. 3. Maruti released its first Maruti 800 car on 14 December 1983 to fulfil the dreams of Indian customers and became the market leader. Since 1983 till date Maruti Suzuki gradually offered several choices to the consumer. 5. Due to aggressive competitors today Maruti Suzuki believes in Innovative Marketing Strategies. With the changing needs, wants & requirements of customers and markets, Maruti Suzuki is altering their Brand Positioning, Advertising and Distribution strategy. 6. Price is justified on the basis of benefits it provides to the consumer. MUL provides excellent after sales servicing to the customers. This provides consumers with service benefits. MUL provides excellent buying experience with much state of art showrooms. This provides consumers with service benefits. 7. Maruti Suzuki vehicles are made through `Green Manufacturing process. All our power plants use natural gas. We discharge Zero waste outside factory premises. In FY 2012-2013, a total of 12,34,767 cubic metres water was recycled and reused. 8. 7 process shops. 5 assembly lines. Around 1,700 robots. 3 stages of inspection. Takes just 12 hour to make one car and they make one car every 12 second 9. In an effort to counter competition from local and foreign players. Maruti started restructuring its operations .
