Children often can become hungry and need a mid-day nutritious snack for energy needs. Students have been encouraged to bring in snacks that are healthy- such as fruits, veggies, protein and /or whole grain carbs like granola bars. (Please be mindful of nut allergy protocols) Snacks should not be desserts- this can lead to unhealthy blood sugar spikes that cause children to not feel well during the course of the school day. Nurse Mudge's goal is that all students are healthy and ready to learn. PTO NEWS

Welcome Amy Panasuk to the PTO! Amy will be taking over Meghan Hartwell’s position next year as treasurer. Meghan has been an asset to the PTO the last two years. Thank you Meg!! The weather is finally warming up!! Why not treat yourself to an ice cream while also supporting the PTO? On June 13th, Lil’ Dukes Ice Cream on 139 in Pembroke (Marshfield line) will be donating their proceeds to the MES PTO. Support a local business, enjoy an ice cream and support the PTO, all at the same time! It’s Jog-a-Thon time! The Jog-a-Thon is this Wednesday, May 29th. We’re looking for water and cup donations for the kids. If you’re interested in donating, please contact Sarah Guilfoyle.

The Marshfield Public Schools is pleased to announce a summer reading enrichment program for current kindergarten to grade two students. The program will focus on review and mastery of grade level reading skills including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, comprehension and vocabulary, in a small, structured setting. Planned activities will be dynamic, interactive and fun.
