Portfolio of Academic Achievement

The academic works, achievements and professional developments such as research, teaching administration and activities outside the University are recorded in the Academic Portfolio. The aim is to collect the documents which illustrate the variety and quality of work that you do, to identifying goals and evidence for career progression, and to give a concise portrayal of one’s professional growth.

The portfolio is primarily instrument in order to enhancing one’s performance. The effective portfolio requires systematic follow-up and development of your works, self-assessment and assessment by others.

The electronic version of the Academic Portfolio (E-Port) is designed by using the Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional that allows the users to fill in all the questions easily and more convenient.

The objectives of designing the Electronic Academic Portfolio are:

1. To promote the Teaching and Research Academics

2. To provide evidence of effectiveness to be used in applications for awards, grants, appointments, tenure, promotion.

3. To provide evidence of work quality. Should the quality of a faculty member’s teaching be challenged, the portfolio could be invaluable in providing an effective defense.

4. To promote professional dialogue about teaching and growth toward an active teaching community. Keeping a portfolio and encouraging others to do so create an environment where discussion of teaching practices becomes the norm. Mentoring and peer evaluations are facilitated

5. To share expertise and experience. The portfolio may be used as a way of gathering and conveying information for the purpose of mentoring younger faculty, providing teaching tips about a specific course for new or part-time faculty, or leaving a written legacy within a department

To complete your Portfolio of Academic Achievement, you should print the portfolio, or you can e-mail and attached the portfolio to the provided e-mail address.
