Film Release The film release we have chosen as a group is the standard way of releasing a film. As a group, after researching different forms of releasing strategies we decided that the standard release is the most popular and successful way to

release our film. This is where the film will only be released in the cinema and will continue showing there depending on its popularity. After that process the

film will then be released on DVD/Blu-ray within 3 months and will be available for the audience to buy from shops or online. Then, a few more

months later the film will be showing on television ready for anyone to watch it. This type of release will be most profitable for the film and the cinemas as people will be going to pay to watch the film as they will not be able to watch

the film in any other way outside of the cinema. Then, the films will have to be bought on DVD/Blu-ray which would mean that it would make a profit from that too. Overall, we think this will be the best way to release our film as it would make the audience want to watch the film even more as it will not be

available anywhere else but the cinema.

Casting

• Main character: Shiwa Bakhtiyar- lead female role in the film, plays the woman who is betrayed by her own sister and husband. The audience should sympathise with her.

• Shiwa’s sister: Sarah Jones- plays the sister who has an affair with Shiwa’s husband. She is an evil character who the audience should dislike.

• Killer: Yasir Ahmed- the killer who pretends to help Shiwa however, the plot twists where he decides to side with Sarah and Shiwa’s husband

• Detective: Michael Pearce- the detective who examines Shiwa’s dead body to find that the actual death was not a suicide but in fact a murder.

Certificate Rating

• After completing research into the different certificate ratings we used the BBFC website to help us come to a decision to pick an appropriate certificate rating for our film.

• We took certain factors into consideration such as, acts of violence, strong language, phobias and overall behaviours which may affect people whilst watching the film or trailer when deciding on the certificate rating.

• When we completed our thorough research we finally came to a conclusion that our certificate rating would for viewers at the age of 15 or older.
