From the Board of Trustees ChairpersonThank you to everyone who provided feedback during the process of appointing a new Principal. It is my pleasure to announce that the Marist College Board of Trustees has appointed Mrs Raechelle Taulu to be the 12th Principal of our College.

She is currently the Deputy Head of Curriculum at St Paul's College in Ponsonby and has eight years of senior leadership in NZ secondary schools. Now living in New Lynn after having been a proud local of Grey Lynn for most of her life, she attended Marist Primary School in Herne Bay and St Mary's College in Ponsonby. Her parish and her family's parish is Ponsonby Herne Bay where she was baptised, received first communion and was married.

In her words “I am honoured to have the opportunity to serve the Marist College community as Principal. As leader I will work tirelessly to ensure that the young women of Marist College graduate as well-qualified, faith driven, competitive, nurturing women who have a sense of purpose and a sense of belonging. Best wishes,Mr Stephen Dallow, Board of Trustee Chairperson

From the PrincipalIt has been a week of celebrations with a moving Colin House Mass, Senior prizegiving, Leaver’s Mass and dinner. We were also delighted to announce the recipients of generous scholarships including those from the Marist Sisters, Anne Duncan, and our tertiary providers.

We congratulate all those students, who through their achievements and efforts have exhibited the hallmarks of true Marist Women. These students made a sincere effort with their academic studies, were involved in the wider life of the school, had a positive and hope-filled attitude and were always respectful of others. Caring CommitteeMeals / baking needed and appreciated

Be part of our Caring Committee by helping prepare a meal to support families. Meals can be dropped at the school office in a container that can be frozen and you do not need returned. Please label these with the date and contents. The office will have labels if needed. We are also in need of some clean used containers with lids to be brought to school for the meals. Then if parents need some containers when making meals, their daughters can pick them up from A304.If you have any questions or you would like to be a regular supporter of the Caring Committee, please phone Masha Nair on 846-86311 ext. 738.

Do you have school uniforms you no longer need?

You can donate them to Marist or we can sell them for you. Drop your clean items off to the office with a contact phone number and bank account or send any enquires to [email protected]
