Welcome back to Lemont CEEL! I hope everyone had a great Spring Break. The

students that attended Spring Break CEEL had a blast at Easterly Parkway.

We’re wrapping up our Session 3 classes and excited to learn about our new

classes coming in Session 4. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please

Session 4 Classes• Puppet Crafting with Adam: Build art in several dimensions from many

materials as you create an original “up-cycled” puppet and learn how to bring it to life! Students will be challenged to “think outside the socks” as they gain a better understanding of puppetry.

• Millbrook Marsh: Naturalists from Millbrook Marsh Nature Center lead students in fun, educational, hands-on activities that explore the wonders and importance of nature. Learning and fun all in one!

• Academic Enrichment: Students will work on daily homework assignments, practice computer-based programs, and advance in school day skill.

• LegoQuest: This class is for the kid that can't get enough of legos and building type toys. Students will work on weekly building challenges individually and with a team.

• Coloring Creations: Get creative with the basic coloring materials. Fun art projects that students will get to design and bring to life!

• Fresh Air: Enjoy the great outdoors and breathe in the spring air! • Cooking Concoctions: Bring out your inner chef and food critic while

composing your own cook book.• Film Literacy: Wait!?! That movie is a book? Students read/listen

along to popular books then watch the flick to compare notes.

Weather UpdateMarch

Our March CEEL goal is to work on safe behavior. Students have been working on safe ways to play both inside and

outside. Ms. Baily, our school counselor, has shared ways students can report unsafe behavior. Please

help us reach our goal by encouraging this type of behavior at home!

New Personal Item PolicyParents, Starting Monday, March 12, 2018, students MUST keep all personal items in their backpacks or baskets. CEEL provides many activities and educational toys for students to use while they are at CEEL. Thank you!
