Event Information

· This will be a Set System event. Set numbers will be announced & a Program Booklet will be

given to each athlete. An Emcee will be making lane announcements. Please follow the

Program Booklet and mark your events for easy reference. Coaches and Athletes are

responsible for reporting to their lanes on time.

· Levels - Novice, Beginner, Intermediate, or Advance is the same as your own organization.

· All Struts - Athletes may use strut of their choice. (l, Super, X, etc…)Twirlers need to be able

to adjust lane distance for the individual events or Miss Cali All Star. Please let the judges know

what Strut you will be performing.

· THERE IS NO MODELING in a Costume or Dress in this competition.

· Age is your actual age during the events.

· ATHLETES MAY CHALLENGE UP

· Salutes or courtesy poses are both acceptable.

· Timing for individual events or teams starts with first movement after salute or pose and

ends on last movement or salute.

· Music for Strut, Solo, Duets and Basic will be provided by Enchanted Events.

· Rhythmic Duets, Rhythmic Twirl, Pom, Dance Lines and Teams please bring your music

labeled with your name/event, age division for each routine on a separate CD. Please bring

backup copy. There will be NO music testing prior to start of event.

· Warm up areas will be provided for athletes preparing to compete in a designated area.

Please be considerate to your fellow competitors and other

sports activities that are taking place at the Next Level Sports

Complex.

· No practicing outside the Next Level Sports Complex

· Results & Score Sheets must be checked prior to leaving the

facility! There will be NO Disputing the judge’s remarks or

tabulations, unless there is a mathematical error. Judge’s

scores are final.

Facility Rules and Instructions

Competition will be held at the Next Level Sports Complex located at

2821 Knotts Street, Garden Grove, CA 92841

Approx. 8 miles from Disneyland Main gate!

Code of Conduct

· Demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times

· Clean up after yourself and your team

· Treat facilities, equipment, and other court users in a respectful manner

· Please be respectful of athletes on neighboring courts

· Please clean facility benches and bleachers following each contest

· Rubber-tipped chair may be used on the courts

· No outside food, drink or coolers, this includes sunflower seeds, gum and the like (water is allowed)

Concessions are be available after 8:00 - 9:00PM.

· No alcohol is allowed on the premises, including the parking lot

· No Fighting or vulgarities

· Place all trash and recyclables in the appropriate containers

· All rentals must be cleared off the field by the end of their rental time

· Users must return all equipment to its designated place by the end of their rental time

· Special Dietary Needs – NLSC is supportive of people with medically restricted dietary needs. Players may

store personal coolers in a designated area outside the complex. Please speak with NLSC Management to

make the necessary arrangements.

· All guests are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from NLSC and other event

competition venues. There is a Parking Fee at Next Level Sports complex. See map of the Free Parking

areas along the side streets.

· NLSC reserves the right to remove a person or group from the complex if they are acting in a manner that

is detrimental to the facility and the users.

· Participation at NLSC is at your own risk. All participants of NLSC are bound by our Assumption of Liability

Waiver & Release agreement.

· Bathrooms well be available throughout the Next Level Sports Complex for costume changing. Please Do

Not leave items in the bathrooms or hallways.

· No Special Effect (Smoke, fire, live animals, lighting, confetti, pyrotechnics, etc.)

· No Flash Photography. Videotaping from bleachers / stand only. You may take photos and video of your

own child / team. Please do not post any photos or video on Social Media outlets without permission

· Learn teamwork and discipline while fostering artistic growth at one of the most high-profile venues in

· Partake in the magic of our parks with specially priced tickets, and discover Disney excitement at every

turn.

National Core Arts Standards

This performance opportunity fulfills many of the standards set forth in the National Core Arts Standards in

which students create, perform, respond, and connect. Performance locations are subject to change.

Parade Information

ANY team or individual twirlers wishing to perform in a Disneyland parade must adhere to the following rules.

· NO COSTUMES can be visible while walking through the Disneyland ® Theme Park, batons must be in

case and costumes must be covered. Performer Should Not Put Any Part Of Costume On In The Disneyland

Resort! Do Not Wear Any Part Of Your Performance Costume In The Park During The Day, This Includes Shoes &

Hair-bows. School or Team Warm-Ups May be worn in the Park during the day

· All performers Must dress in the backstage dressing rooms

· Performer’s That Show Up Without Entire Costume Will Not Perform

· Every performer Must bring a backpack or tote bag that includes All items needed for the parade

· No rolling backpacks, suitcases, garment bags, plastic or paper sacks allowed

· Please Do Not send money or valuable items in performer bags

· We are Not Responsible for lost or stolen items

· Lockers are available throughout the Disneyland® Resort to store bags before check in

· Please talk to your Team Director for more options for bags

· Jewelry – Small stud earrings are OK – No hanging earrings allowed

· All other jewelry, except for Medical ID bracelets will be removed & put in performer’s bag

· All Star Productions staff will provide all hair care items backstage – Do Not bring Aerosol Hairspray into the Park

· All Star Productions staff will provide snacks after the parade – Do Not bring snacks backstage

· Disney Performing Special Gifts will be given out backstage after the parade

· Everyone MUST try out for the Disneyland parade.

· AGE LIMITS: 8 years of age. Disney’s rule No Exceptions!

PARADE INFORMATION CONTINUED….. · Groups of 20 or more may wear their team costume / uniform

· Uniforms MUST be approved by All Star Productions

· Individuals and groups of 20 and less will be required to purchase an All Star Productions costume.

(Approx. $20 per athlete) Disney’s Rules.

· All athletes will be REQUIRED to try out.

· Parade Routine will be provided by All Star Productions and posted on the website. YOU MUST KNOW

IT TO PERFORM IN THE PARADE!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!

· See Schedule for Tryout times. Watch for changes

· Each twirler MUST choose & purchase a Performer Package (Solo or Team Packages)

· Disneyland® Annual Passports Cannot Be Used For Performers, but are okay for all other entries.

· Performer MUST have a Disneyland® Resort ticket for each performance day

· Each performer MUST turn in a Performer Registration Form, Medical & Release of Liability Form signed by

Parent or Guardian & Method of Payment (see forms below)

· Friends & Family specially priced tickets can be ordered on the Performer Registration Form

· Make checks payable to Enchanted Events, a $30 fee applies for all returned checks

· Please add a 3.0% Pay Pal processing fee

· All tickets & parade instructions for this event will be sent to Directors and will be posted on the website.

· No Refunds on Performer Packages or Friends & Family tickets ordered

· Your Twirler MUST know the parade routine to be able to participate. We are not responsible if they get

rejected at tryout for not knowing the material. NO refunds on purchased costumes .

· A very special Sleeping Beauty Castle photograph, will be taken prior to parade time with each team or

organization. Information will be given out to purchase this photo after the parade for $10. This photo will only

be available at this price Only On Saturday, 03/23/2017

· Magical Memories DVD’s will be mailed to the coaches approximately 10-12 weeks after this event

Parade Costume Requirements · Teams of less than 20 members MUST purchase the required parade costume.

· Parade Costume is $20

· You are required to wear BLACK Leggings ONLY. No grey, no stripes, pock dots etc…!

· Must go to your ankles. NO capris or shorts

· Black stockings

· Hair in a bun with a BLACK Scrunchie around it.

· Black shoes: Instep/Cougars, or dance shoes ONLY. NO SNEAKERS or ballet slippers. If you are not sure ASK.

· ANYONE NOT WEARING THE REQUIRED COSTUME WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE PARADE! NO ACCPETIONS

TRANSPORTATION

The Disneyland Motorcoach Motorcoaches depart hourly from the Disneyland Hotel to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) at the top

of the hour from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM (except 5:00 PM). The last departure from LAX airport to the Disneyland

Resorts is at 8:00 PM.

Motorcoaches depart hourly from the Disneyland Hotel to Orange County (SNA) airport at half past the hour

from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The last departure from SNA airport to the Disneyland Resorts is at 7:00 PM.

Motocoach Fees: 15+ years old - $50 per person. 14 and under FREE

Shuttles / Vans

Shuttle Pick-Up and Drop-Off Information

Shuttle service via a SuperShuttle 7-passenger van is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to Los Angeles

International Airport (LAX), Ontario International Airport (ONT) and Long Beach Airport (LGB). Service is

available to Orange County Airport (SNA) from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM, 7 days a week. Wheelchair-accessible

vans are available on request.

Medical & Release of Liability Waiver

· As used below, “Event Organizer” shall mean Disneyland®, Enchanted Events, All Star Productions, Inc. & all officer’s

Employees, volunteers and subsidiaries

· Performers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents & assigns, & “Disney” shall mean Disney Youth Group Programs,

Disney Destinations, LLC & the Walt Disney Company & their respective subsidiary or other affiliated or related

companies and the officers, directors, employees, agents and assigns of each of the foregoing.

· In consideration of my, or my child or ward’s participation in the above-referenced Event hosted by Event Organizers I

agree to assume full responsibility for the payment of all debts incurred by me, or my child or ward, during my, or my

child or ward’s, visit to the Disneyland Resort and to reimburse Disney for any damages suffered by Disney due to acts

of mine, or my child or ward during that visit.

· I hereby waive, on my own and my child or ward’s behalf, & on behalf of my & my child or ward’s heirs, executors,

administrators & next of kin, any claims or causes of action for death, personal injury, property damage or otherwise

which I, or my child or ward, may now have or hereafter have against Disney or Event Organizer arising out of my, or

my child or ward’s, participation in the above listed Event, without limitation.

· I, on my own behalf & on behalf of my child or ward, further agree to defend, indemnify & hold harmless Disney,

Event Organizer, & Event officials, corporate sponsors & production staff (such Event officials, corporate sponsors &

production staff, hereinafter “event Organizer’s Event Agents”) from & against any & all claims, judgments, loses,

liabilities, costs & expenses, (including, without limitation, attorneys’ & other professionals’ fees & costs up through &

including any appeal) asserted against Disney Event Organizer and/or Event Organizer’s Event Agents by me, or my

child or ward, or suffered by Disney. Event Organizer and/or Event Organizer’s Event Agents arising out of the death,

personal injury, property damage or otherwise suffered by me, or my child or ward, in connection with any Event or

other related activities in which I, or my child or ward, participates during the Event. I acknowledge that Event

Organizer is responsible for the safe conduct of the event & Disney makes no representations or warranties, either

express or implied, regarding the condition or suitability of the venue for the Event.

· I hereby grant Disney, Event Organizer, their successors, assignees, licensees, sponsors & all other commercial

exhibitors the exclusive right to photograph and/or videotape me, and my child or ward, and further utilize my, & my

child or ward’s, name, face, likeness, voice & appearance in programming, advertising & promotions & for training

purposes without reservation or limitation. In granting this license, I understand that neither Disney nor Event

organizer is under any obligation to exercise any of their rights, licenses and privileges herein granted.

· I authorize Disney and/or Event Organizer to procure, at my expense, any medical care reasonably required by me, or

my child or ward, during my, or my child or ward’s, visit at Hospitals or facilities chosen by Disney and/or Event

Organizer. I certify I am 18 years of age or older and, if applicable, that my child or ward is under 18 years of age. This

Medical & Release of Liability Waiver shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.

· Registration: 6:00PM to 9:00PM – Main Entrance of the Next Level Sports Complex.

Pick up info packs, wrist bands, park tickets, and booklets. (Disneyland does NOT offer

advanced FastPasses. You will make FastPass selections at participating ride Kiosks.)
