INTERNATIONAL DAY
On Wednesday 22nd February the
guides and scouts celebrate thinking
day because it is the birthday of lord and lady Baden
Powel. Lord Baden Powel started the scout and Guide
monument. At Downs View we celebrated International
day by putting up flags and bringing in food from other
countries . We even had an African drummer came in!
YEAR 2
BOOK WEEK
During book week we had to dress
up as different characters from different books. In
year two we designed our own costumes. Press
gang officer Olivia dressed as a nurse and Josh
dressed up as a dragon. We got to show the
whole school our costumes in assembly. Ellie
dressed up as Dorothy, Lily dressed up as Mary
Poppins and also we had a family quiz and we
needed to answer 11 questions. The tie breaker
was very tricky! There were 12 winners who got a
book voucher. We all got stickers for taking part.
