I want to thank everyone who attended
the yearly board meeting at Seawind
Elementary; and those of you who
took the time to send in your proxies.
This year we have two new board members; Frank
Galligan representing Capri III, and Robert Bailey
representing Double Tree Court.
I would like to thank Joan Sweeney, former director of
Capri III, and Joe Mango, former director of Double
Tree Court, for their years of service to the community.
A reminder to everyone that we do have a new
landscaping service, ROOD, with a phone number of
772-675-7413. The number will appear in the new
Directory. On that note...you should have handed in
any changes to your phone numbers or e-mails to the
office by now. The committee is in the process of
finalizing the changes before going to the printer.
I want to remind owners and their guests that the main
entrance to Lost Lake is not wide enough for boats and
trailers. The service gate at Founda Drive should be
used.
I'm sure many, if not all, have
heard repor ts of new
construction on Rt. 1 north of
Seabranch, our side of
Mariner Village. The plans are
being reviewed at the county
planners office. There has
been no decision on what kind
of retail space will be provided.
There will be two 120 bed
assisted living buildings and
20,000 sq. ft. of retail space.
Speaking of Seabranch and
Rt. 1, please be careful when
pulling out onto Federal

Lost Lake Bocce… The 2016 Season is winding down. Although we had an
unusual rainy season, we still ended up with a very
pleasant recreational season. The bocce season ends
March 9th followed by playoff championships.
The Lost Lake Rollers Bocce League has three
divisions: Pasta (Monday), Pesto (Tuesday), and Vino
(Wednesday). We will offer the formation of a fourth
division (Thursday) for the 2017 Season. Any property
owner at Lost Lake has the privilege to join.
The new Thursday Division has to have a minimum of 4
teams (16 players) with a maximum of 8 teams (32
players).
Although we are pretty much filled in our existing
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Divisions, there are
always players not able to finish their season which
creates openings for others.
Also, anyone can register as “stand-by” or “substitute”,
which is often needed.
Additionally, we have pick-up leagues on Wednesday
evening at 6:30pm and Saturday morning at 10:00am.
Please be aware that our League is non-competitive and
strictly fun-orientated with our neighbors, friends and
acquaintances.
The end of the Season Get-together/Registration (2017
Season) will be on or around the fourth week of March.
Please join us. We will be looking forward to our
returning and new members. You can contact either
Victor Vallera, [email protected]; Lolly Campbell,
[email protected]; Bev Nees, [email protected].
Couples Bridge…
Come for a fun evening every other Friday. All bridge
playing couples are invited. You must hold a Lost Lake
golf or social membership and attend dinner (5pm)
before evening play (6:30pm).

Housing Areas… Carmel News...
Reporter...Carolyn Weishaar Thank you to Kate and Tom Schnur and Peter and Patty
Schuyler for hosting the February and March Happy
Hours…a great time was had by all. The Happy Hours
are a great way to get to know your neighbors better so
if you haven’t given them a try in a while stop in for
some tasty treats and great conversation.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the April 5th
Happy Hour to be hosted by Ronnie and Fred
Dembowski (7945) and on May 3rd at the home of Ron
and Lyn Hanlon (8000).
News from our Director, Moe Paquette: I would like to
thank everyone for their support this year and I am
hoping that we continue to work together to keep the
Carmels the outstanding neighborhood that it is. I can
be reached at 772-463-4790 or by email at
Just a few reminders:
A gentle reminder to all that cars parked on the
street must be on the roadway, not the grass.
Please continue to pick up after your pooch for
both health and aesthetic reasons.
Regarding Landscaping/Outside changes to your home:
Our new carriage lights have been ordered and
we expect delivery in the next few weeks. Ron
Herman Electric will do the installation and we
will notify you in advance. All work will be done
outside your house. Therefore no inside access
will be required.
Justin Rogers, our account manager with Rood
Landscaping is compiling an inventory of
plantings that need to be removed from all of our
properties. Once this list is compiled we will
schedule a meeting so, as a community, we can
decide on how much work should be done
immediately. This is part of the Long Range Plan
for removal and replacement that we voted on at
our annual meeting.
Outside changes of any kind must have ARC
approval. Ronnie Dembowski is our ARC
Representative. Please contact her if you are in
need of applications for changes.
This is the last newsletter of the season…wishing
everyone a safe and healthy summer…and safe travels
if you head North for the summer!

Thanks for your work for our section.
Sure do hope everyone has thawed out from this crazy
"cold" winter, one of the coldest in many years. The
warm sun feels like a long lost friend, who finally came
"home".
We would like to send a warm and friendly message for
a safe travel home to Joyce and Frank Melon who are
moving to be near their children. You will be missed.
A neighborly welcome to Linda and Bill Gluck, Wini and
Woody Woodward, happiness in your new home.
Peppercorn Court is planning a "Pot Luck" dinner get
together at the Paurotis Pool on Thursday, April 14,
starting at 4pm. Bring a meal to share, silverware, cups,
your drink, and, if possible, a chair and card table. We
hope to enjoy a social evening before our northern
neighbors head "home". (In case of rain, gather at the
"Guido’s" home, minus the table and chairs.)
Joyce Dziubaty, still in a Rehab Facility, was able to
attend the WCLL luncheon last month. She was
welcomed by everyone; good to see her doing so well.
Our condolences to Bob Farrell and family for the loss of
his loving wife Mary (Sis) Farrell, deceased 1/26/16.
Any news, ideas, comments, something to sell, please
call or email me. Remember our military, pray for their
safe return.

Well, it’s that time of year again to gather bank
statements and figure out just how big a check to write
the IRS. Don’t we love it, yeah right.
Gail and Rolf Siekmann hosted our February cocktail
party and did a superior job with a Valentines theme
and a very nice assortment of snacks. Thanks guys.
Many of us were amazed at the upgrades Gail and Rolf
have made to the inside of their home by redoing the
kitchen, bathrooms, floors and well just about
everything. Again very nice job guys.
Our next cocktail party will be on Tuesday, March 8,
with Joyce and Bill Gum at 8557 Palm Hammock.
We had an HOA meeting at the main pool on Tuesday,
February 2, that was well attended. At the meeting we
re-elected Gerry Paquette as street director with Odes
Rummel (Landscape), Gail Seikman (ARC), Bill Gum,
Richard Kraetsch, and Len Friedman as members of
the street committee.
There was discussion about our oak trees, both for and
against. A vote was taken and was decided to leave
our beautiful trees as they are and continue to maintain
them to limit growth.
We wish our snowbirds safe travel back North and we
will do our best to keep our street beautiful and await
your return in the fall.
