    In addition to the general information mentioned at I to X above, the institution may highlight the

    i. History of the Institution

    This profound K.J.N Educational College was started during the academic year 2007-2008 by

    Alamelu Ammaal Educational Trust, under the Chairmanship of Mr.S.Jayachandran, B.Sc., B.L.

    In the beginning the Teacher Training Institute was inaugurated and 100 Student teachers

    were well trained during the years 2007-2008 and years. And then the B.Ed., college was started in the

    year 2007. The main aim of the college is to bring out eminent and efficient teachers from such down

    trodden place (i.e. Kannigaipair)

    The aim of this college is to provide leadership and exemplary educational and related

    services to improve the lives of rural people in a changing complex global society. To inculcate

    intellectual, moral and spiritual values among teacher trainees for the advancement of the country in

    general and Tamil Nadu in particular and job opportunities for the rural qualified students to become

    eminent teachers.

    This college is affiliated to TamilNadu Teachers Education University. By giving training for

    more than 1000 teachers, many students are qualified in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET&TRB) and got

    placement in Government Schools.

    With the great dedication and hard work of all the members of the teaching and non-teaching,

    the college has enhanced to a great level that at present. The college functions with twelve pedagogy

    courses. Now the trust has successfully completed 11 years.

    In the context of contemporary advancement our vision is to train humanity successfully to

    meet the evolutionary and revolutionary challenges by integrating the Physical Emotional, Intellectual,

    Ethical and Spiritual Potentialities of the teachers of our country.

    ii. Vision Statement

    1. To present to the world versatile teachers ever ready to counter the present intellectual and

    emotional challenges.

    2. To ensure inculcation of professional and ethical values in Teachers and in dissemination of

    the same through them effectively.

    3. To empower teachers with technological excellence.

    4. To enhance awareness of individual potential ensuring excellence in pedagogical transactions

    iii. Mission and Objectives

    1. To enhance the quality of teacher education Programme to meet the global

    Standards.

    2. To take steps for dissemination of research to schools and to the society at large.

    4. To impart value education, human rights education to the prospective teachers

    5. To create an awareness of environmental protection among the student teachers.

    OBJECTIVES:

    To develop the total personality of the teacher trainees, to meet the challenges in the field of

    education.

    To enable the teacher trainees to become creative and innovative in pedagogy.

    To equip the trainees in communication skills to become interested in lifelong learning

    To become aware of concepts in educational psychology to deal effectively with behavioral problem of the learners.

    To implement the knowledge of psychological principles and theories in the teaching learning process.

    To inculcate commitment to national development.

    To function efficiently as a role model, to impart values.

    To train teachers, who will imbibe the cultural and spiritual treasures of the land so that they become masters of themselves and servants of the mankind

    To provide adequate knowledge and skills of teaching and learning in the young trainees and develop in them a positive attitude towards teaching profession

    To strive and achieve high standards in an atmosphere of autonomy

    To appreciate and respect all faiths and foster religious harmony as well as national integration

    Recognition, Eminent Alumni etc.

    Significant Achievements, if any

    The Students participated in the Quiz Programme conducted by P.T.A at Periyapalayam Govt.,

    School. The students rendered services at an orphanage “Anbu Illam” at Bandi Kavanoor.

    Contributions in the field of Education

    The college had the privilege of making above 800 Students by awards the B.Ed. Degree

    through 800 degree certificates.

    Awards and Recognition Received

    The faculties of this college have participated in many seminar and received recognition awards

    for paper presentation.

    Eminent Alumni,

    Ten students had come out successful Teachers Eligibility Test and got placement.
