Managerial Economics Minor (18 units) Mandatory prerequisites: Economics (ECN) 1A and 1B Mathematics (MAT) 16A and 16B; 17A and 17; or 21A and 21B Statistics (STA) 13 or 100 NOTE: Many ARE courses require completion of STA 103 as a prerequisite (STA 100 does not replace this prerequisite). Be sure you check ALL prerequisites before you enroll in upper division ARE courses. Effective fall quarter 2013, your minor declaration will be denied if you have not completed the prerequisites for an ARE class. The following requirements and guidelines are enforced: Each emphasis requires completion of ARE 100A (ECN 100 accepted) Only one course may overlap with the student’s major Must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA in minor courses May take one course for Passed/Not Passed (P/NP) grading May apply up to two courses from UC Study Abroad with prior approval Students may choose one of four emphases: General Managerial Economics Environmental and Natural Resource Economics Agricultural Economics NOTE: Transcripts will note only the name of the minor, MANAGERIAL ECONOMICS, not the emphasis.
