With more than 20 years ofexperience in the field, Ramboll isable to provide highly specialisedconsultancy services to meetclients' needs at any time. We arespecialised in preparation ofmaintenance procedures andplanning of preventive maintenanceof offshore facilities. We are closely affiliated with theDanish oil and gas industry in theNorth Sea, but our efficientmaintenance systems are also

utilised in other industries such aswind energy, refineries andpetrochemical. Furthermore,we also carry out numerousmaintenance projects in Qatar.

Development of maintenanceprocedures

Our ongoing maintenanceprocedures for rotatingequipment such as gas turbines,gas compressors, water injectionpumps and generators include:   • Maintenance procedures in OMS

or SAP, identification and creationof stock numbers for necessaryspare parts

• Ongoing documentation updatesfor clients’ maintenance

procedures in connection withreplacement, modification andoptimisation of productionfacilities

• Engineering assistance withinmaintenance, project control andmaintenance optimisation

 

Major rotating equipment

Our professional and dedicatedstaff has many years of experiencewith maintenance of major rotatingequipment.We have significant experiencewithin: • Development of maintenance

procedures and identification ofnecessary spare parts on offshorefacilities

• Establishment and ongoingmaintenance of KIT systems toensure that the needed spareparts and tools are available whenneeded in case of shutdowns

• Handling of documentation ofthe KIT systems in White Books,providing the operator with allnecessary details about theequipments

• Ongoing service and inspectionsof KIT systems, including ordering,replacement and updates

• Specifications of gas compressors,

including design, fabrication,installation and production start-up 

• Specifications for major rotatingequipment installed on FPSOs

 

Maintenance on Al Shaheen field

One of our most comprehensiveprojects to date is the full-scalemaintenance work on 14platforms in the Al Shaheen field offthe coast of Qatar, operated byMaersk Oil.We have also played an importantrole in facilitating the constructionand installation of new platforms inthe field. Our responsibilities include alldocumentation reviews andpreparation of maintenanceprocedures for most equipment.This includes disciplines such aselectrical, instrumentation,mechanical, piping, rotatingequipment and safety requirements.

History of our maintenanceservices

On 1 January 2010 Ramboll Oil &Gas acquired QA Consulting; acompany specialised inmaintenance services. Thecompany, located in Esbjerg, had

existed since 1986 and employedsome 30 specialised engineers andtechnicians at the time ofacquisition. With the acquisition,Ramboll significantly increased ourcompetencies within maintenanceand rotating equipment.

DUC platforms - Danish North SeaSince the early 1990s we been heavily involved in thecreation of maintenance procedures and documentationupdates for all larger DUC platforms in the Danish NorthSea. FPSO Maersk Ngujima YinWe were heavily involved in the successful conversion ofEllen, a Maersk Oil crude tanker, to the FPSO NgujimaYin.

DONG Energy platforms - Danish North Sea For the Siri platform, we were responsible for full-scopepressure vessel inspections. The work involved ongoinginspection of topsides pressure tanks, includingmanagement of spare parts information and materials aswell as quality control and manpower. We also performedcomplete and ongoing maintenance processing andsupply documentation for the Nini East platform.
