SONG CONTEST
TIPS FOR CREATING YOUR SCHOOL
4-H SONG
Song: Begin by selecting a favorite
tune.
Be Creative: Replace the words of
the song with words about the 4-H
club program. Some suggestions
are: project books, record books,
cookery contests, livestock shows,
Achievement Day, camp, commu-
nity service, workshops, officer train-
ing, and club meetings. Keep your
song short and simple. Practice is
important: Make sure all members
know the words and the tune.
On Achievement Day, sing loud
so that the judges and audience
can hear. You may include simple
dance steps or hand motions. This is
not required. Props can be used
such as signs, shakers, or costumes.
This is not required. Music (tape or
CD) may be used. Please bring your
own equipment.
