The inventory of available homes continues to shrink, and I don’t expect that to change this year. That means sellers will continue to have the advantage, and it’s likely that we’ll see more and more multiple-offer situations. Buyers will still enjoy the benefit of low interest rates – even though rates have ticked upwards in recent months, they’re still attractive, especially when viewed from a historical perspective. Buyers should expect their home search to take a bit longer, however, and be prepared to jump on the right property when it becomes available! I’m hopeful we’ll see more lots come online in 2016 – there’s a demand for new construction homes, but we need more lots in order for those homes to be built. It’s YOUR Move

Hey Jon,

I just wanted to thank you again for the stellar work

you’ve done for Kayla and me the past few months. It

was a long hard fought battle but you did an excellent

job. I’ve highly recommended you to friends and any-

one else that comes along mentioning they are looking

for a house and I will continue to do so. Take care, and

thanks again!

. Q: How long should it take me to find the

right house?

A: While there’s no set timetable for finding the right

house, I’d encourage you to look at several homes that fit your budget. This will help you get a good idea of the kind of home available in your price range. Know what you need in your new home vs what you’d like to have. Today’s inventory of available homes is pretty lean – your search may take longer than in previous years! Be prepared to wait a little longer, but also be prepared to act when the right one presents itself!
