Quatuor LouvignyPhilippe Koch, Fabian Perdichizzi violonIlan Schneider altoAleksandr Khramouchin violoncelleEager to enlarge the music contacts they established performing with the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, Philippe Koch, Fabian Perdichizzi, Ilan Schneider and Alexandr Khramouchin decided to explore together the rich universe of the string quartet. The four soloists of the OPL, who already had a big experience as soloists and chamber musicians, decided to form in 2001 the Louvigny Quartet. The name is a tribute to the Villa Louvigny, where the RTL Orchestra (currently OPL) was born. The Louvigny Quartet performed numerous concerts in Luxembourg and abroad that allowed them to gain an international reputation. Moreover, they released several discs on the label Timpani, recording French composers’ repertoire (like Cras, Dupont, Le Flem) that has been acclaimed from the international specialized press.

Claudia Moulin sopranoClaudia Moulin was born in Luxembourg to an Italian father and a Portuguese mother. She started her vocal studies at the Con-servatory in Esch-sur-Alzette with Mariette Kemmer. In 2007, she won a vocal scholarship of the Yamaha Foundation and in 2009 the Prix Lyrique du Cercle Carpeaux of the Opéra national de Paris. The musicians have sought to do fuller justice to the works of Scarlatti, Vivaldi, Weiss and their contemporaries. The success of this approach based on a return to the sources, which constitutes the most important development in the history of the interpretation of «serious» music in the course of the 20th century, has been made possible by the cooperation of many protagonists – musicians, but also concert organisers, recording producers, publishers, musicologists and instrument makers. The latest recording project by Artemandoline, together

with soprano Nuria Rial, «Sospiri d’amanti», was released by Deutsche Harmonia Mundi. Very quickly awarded by the critics and enthusiastically acclaimed by the public, Artemandoline’s performances always create new impulsions in the development of both perception and interpretation of works of the 17th and 18th centuries. The musicians participate in the current expansion of interest in it all over the world through their conservatory teaching and masterclasses, their concerts, and their publications. They play on period instruments: Baroque mandolins, Renais-sance and Baroque guitar, Baroque mandola and mandolone, Renaissance lute, treble lutes, mandolins from Brescia and Cre-mona. They are regularly invited to appear at early music festivals and venues including the Festival de Musique Ancienne de St. Guilhem-le-Désert, Festival de l’abbaye de Sylvanès, the Konzerthaus in Berlin, Stockholm Early Music Festival, Bach Chamber Days in Riga, Tage Alter Musik Regensburg, Festival de Musique Ancienne du Marais, Gaudete Early Festival, Early Music Day in Alden-Biesen, Musique en Catalogne Romane, Castello Reale di Sarre, Festival Musique d’Ensemble in Pommiers en Forez, Luxembourg Baroque Days, the Philharmonie Luxem-bourg, Palacio Foz in Lisbon, Festival Midi-Minimes and Conser-vatoire Royal de Bruxelles, Festival Européen de Musique Renaissance in the château du Clos Lucé and Festival 1001 Notes.
