EXTENSION PROGRAM: THE PLACE TO BE
For more than 16 years the Extension Program has been offering its students an exceptional academic experience. We propose not only a highquality, full-fledged linguistic program but one that during the week alsocovers all the aspects of the American culture through its traditions andhistory. Throughout the years, we have established a reputation of excellence and hard work thanks to our team of teaching professionalswhom are all mother tongue speakers and hold a teaching degree; themajority of which also hold a Masters from the United States educationalsystem and are trained in teaching the English language and not justEnglish as a foreign language. At the start of each Summer Camp, theyprove themselves with innovation and creativity in establishing an original linguistic approach that brings out the maximum learning potential in each student in conjunction with their aptitude, motivating them with a constructive critical eye and using imagination tomake them feel part of the group. Our mission: to give each language learner the necessary tools to help them develop their individual talents and groom them into building their individual path towards success.

Language classes are grouped byage and level of English: beginner, intermediate, advanced, fluent.
Class time, dedicated to the study oflanguage, is integrated with arts andcrafts, music and drama, in an effortto enhance the learning experience.Storytelling and show and tell are some of the projects designed to encourage self-expression, self-confidence and curiosity. All activities circle around a theme in order to achieve total languageimmersion.
The drama team, comprised of theater specialists and homeroomteachers, will produce a showscheduled for Friday, July 13th.
All students have the opportunity to perform in and be an integral partof the “making of” the production.

New York, New YorkNEW YORK CITY
Folklore states that the Dutch may have purchased the Island ofManhattan from the American Indians for a handfull of dollars anda few simple trinkets. Its nickname, « The Big Apple » comes froma variety of sources. One dates back to the 1920’s, during the GreatDepression, when the Streets of New York were filled with bankersstill dressed in suits yet reduced to selling apples. Another potentialsource is a Harlem Jazz club called « The Big Apple » that was formany musicians, the sure fast track to stardom. Broadway, one of themost famous avenues in the world, and Central Park are just two of along list of places of interest to see in this mégapole of 8 million inhabitants. NYC is a melting pot of cultural diversity and contrasts;a symbol of wealth with its skyscrapers as big and tall as theAmerican legend itself. On your feet ! Come with us and admire thecity where one walks with their head held high.
