Project DescriptionLocal Ordering System (LOS) (Reporting Team) is an order capturing, position keeping that offers a sophisticated and flexible means of managing orders and positions across all instruments in real-time. It is required of us to develop the customized automated reports and adhocs as per user requirements. The existing base tables and database objects are used to develop the customized user reports.

Project DescriptionThis project was targeted in reducing and helping the developers writing big queries where there scope of errors. The tool is excel based and is designed using Vb macros. The tool will log out the error information in a txt file. As a POC of the asset I was responsible in:

Preparing the design and user reference document.

Preparing the Sql checklist, which the code will reference in identifying the error in the code.

Following Accenture Delivery Methods standard.

Resolving and modifying the code in the UAT.

Achievements This tool was nominated in the Asset of the Month category. UAT was performed by the Best Buy project and was highly appreciated.

Project 2Financial Planning and Reporting applications

Project DescriptionThis project aimed at reporting, budgeting and planning of Merck financial data. These applications are designed in Cognos planning and Hyperion Essbase. We enhance and support these applications.

Responsibilities Support the almost all the Essbase applications used by the client for reporting (7 applications).

Time estimation for the development request raised by the client. Developing and designing the various enhancementsfor the existing applications.

Technical support and development requires following knowledge:

Performing extensive on Essbase. (I.e. creating Calc scripts, Maxl scripts, Esscmd scripts, Report scripts, rule files, interpreting the data on retrieving etc.)

Executing the SQL queries (especially includes analyzing View code which act as source of data for Essbase, code runs into hundreds of line.)

Hierarchy upload tool

Outline extractor tool is an excel based utility designed using Essbase API and excel VB macros to extract the outline in the parent child format, and all the related information of the members including alias name, consolidation operator and currency name.The tool has a comparison logic which compares the original hierarchy with the changed one and log the processes accordingly for tracking the changes made.

Hierarchy Upload tool is an excel based utility designed using Essbase API and excel VB macros. This tool reads the comparison log produced by the outline extractor tool and uploads the hierarchy into the system.

Project DescriptionCurrently working on project to upgrade the Essbase 7 version to Essbase 9. As a member of the project I am involved in the following activities:
