Location List

North London – My group and I used this particular location because it was suitable for our music video. The location was lively and the atmosphere was pleasant which my group and I wanted in our music video. We only used North London as our location because of its diversity. It would be easy for us to film somewhere closer to home in order to avoid difficulties such as transportation, weather and traffic. We also made sure that we checked the weather before leaving our houses in order for us be safe.

Café – We used the café in the middle of our scene when the main protagonist (Daniella) and her friend (Sandra) was eating and talking about Dwayne (Second protagonist). This location was used for our music video in order to show what the protagonist does in her spare time. By filming at the café, it made our music video realistic and it also follow the codes and conventions of a music video. By adding such shots in our video, it enhances our idea of a lively theme. We can see that she still thinks about Dwayne (male protagonist) even when she’s with her friends (Sandra and Christa). However, we thought the café might be appealing to our audience since most people go to the café, so we thought it would be a good idea to add to our video.

Library – Some of our scenes were filmed at the local library. We used this location to enhance the atmosphere of friends together having a good time. The difficulties that we face were poor footage due to the noise. This is because it was busy and noisy. Therefore, we had to made sure that we got there during the quite times in order to reduce noise and distraction.

School – We decided to film our opening scenes at the corridor as we wanted a very strong beginning in order to convey the idea of happiness and hate as the protagonist has just passed with her boyfriend and people just screwed them. We used our school corridor, common room, toilet and study room.
