Use of the LAP Construction Checklist enables the Department and FHWA to:

consistently track compliance statewide

provide a federal requirements “cheat sheet” to the locals

Easily audit LAP construction contracts

Communicate high risk areas in contract compliance

LAP Checklists 101

Florida Department of Transportation

The form is a checklist of contract provisions required by one or more agencies when Federal-aid funding is awarded to a subrecipient through FDOT, including:Select all that apply-• Federal-Aid construction contract provisions set

• Your county jail has prisoners constructing benches for local parks, trails, and transit stops.  The benches are free to the county and they will send out an inmate work crew to install the benches on your LAP trail project.  What do you do?– Have them installed as soon as the contractor is ready.

– Have the jail deliver them to your road crew to install so you don’t use convict labor on your LAP project.

– Refuse the benches and have the contractor buy something else.

– Accept the benches but wait to install after your LAP construction project is complete.
