Presentation:i) Pupils take turn to talk about their experiences having a picnic by the seaside.ii) Pupils answer teachers questions as below: a) Have you ever been to a seaside? b) What are the activities visitors do at the seaside? c) Why do you like to go to the seaside? (HOTS)

Practise:iii) Teacher shows picture cards of things used to build a sand castle.iv) Pupils repeat the names of the things after the teacher.

Production:v) Teacher displays a picture of a girl building a sand castle by the seaside (refer attachment 1), and the word cards of the things used by the girl to build it.vi) Teacher says the names of the things aloud.vii) Pupils take turn to select the correct word card and label the things in the picture.vii) Then, pupils are divided into 5 groups. Each group is given a few pictures related to the poem. The group members take turn to say a few sentences about the picture.
