SUMMARYIn this chapter there are activities which focus on the listening skill.

It is clear that listening is the skill that children acquire first, especially if they have not learnt reading yet. When the pupils start to learn a foreign language, they do it through their ears, although we help them giving visual help.

It is important to say things clearly when we are talking to the children, in order to so that they can repeat the words.

SUMMARYWhen you have to focus on understanding what it is being told. It is important not to overload children wehn youre working on listening tasks.

The activities that content in this chapter are used to try to check if children understand the activities while they are doing them.

Listening activities can be used to practice movement activities or calm activities.

This activity consists in of listening and repeating they key words of the traditional tale. The teacher must speak clearly and pupils must repeat. Later, we will repeat the activity in order to check that children remember the vocabulary displayed.ACTIVITIESActivity 2: Listen to this tale.

The teacher reads the story aloud and at a slow pace. All the characters of the tale can be placed from one page to another. Afterwards, the teacher will unstick the characters, so the children will stick them again whereas the teacher retells the story.

ACTIVITIESActivity 3: Listen and put the vignettes in the correct order.

This activity consists of provinding an enumerated table in which the children will have to put the vignettes in the correct order by following the teachers intructions.
