List of important term of definition
Possible way asks in SPM: What/state/explain the meaning /definition of //Define the term ...
Chapter 1: Transport
Term Definition
myogenic P1-Muscle that contract and relavs without the need to receive impulses form thenervous system
Lymph P1-Interstitial fluid that has not been reabsorbed into the blood sream goes into the
lymph capilarries .Once inside the lymph capillaries the fliud is known a lymph
P2-Lymph is a transparent yellowish fluid
Active immunity P1-Means the body produces its own antibodies in response to stimulation by an
antigen
Passive transport P2-Means the body receive an antibodies in response to stimulation by an outside
source
Transpiration P1-is the loss of water vapour through evaporation from the leaves of plants
Chapter 2: Locomotion and transport
Term Definition
Locomotion refers to the ability of a whole organism to move from one place to another
Movement refers to a change in the position of any part of an organisms body but it does notnecessarily involve locomotion
posture. Posture is defined as a way a body is positioned
correct posture P1- body shape is in a correction position
P2-the muscles are minimally strectched
Chapter 3: Coordination and response
Term Definition
Voluntary action D1-Impulse transmit form the brain to skeletal muscle
Involuntaryaction
D2-Impulse transmit form the medulla ablongata to smooth muscle /cardiacmuscle/gland
Internal
environment
P1-(physical and Chemical) condition within our body
P2-Extracellular fluid that surround our body cells
P3-Example are body temperature, blood glucose level, pH, blood osmotic potential
and blood pressure
P1&any other P MAX 2
Homeostasis P4-A process of maintaining internal environment/physical and chemical conditionin our body at a constant value
P5-through corrective mechanism based on negative or positive feedback
P6-which revert the internal environment back to normal condition of there is achangeP4& any other P MAX 2
