Repro 83• 6-7 Min. Gel Time• 60-90 Min. Demold

Repro 83 is our most popular tooling urethane with a great balance of speed and accuracy. This castable polyurethane is used extensivelyin foundry and thermoforming applications, mold making, and in mostgeneral plastic casting applications. Offered in a choice of blue, gray,or white.

Catalog Net Wt.Number Description Availability (Lbs.)053150 Repro 83 – White Quart Unit 5053156 Repro 83 – White Gal Unit 20053152 Repro 83 – Blue Quart Unit 5053158 Repro 83 – Blue Gal Unit 20053164 Repro 83 – Blue 5 Gal Unit 100053154 Repro 83 – Gray Quart Unit 5053160 Repro 83 – Gray Gal Unit 20053166 Repro 83 – Gray 5 Gal Unit 100

Repro NS (Non-Settling)• 6-7 Min. Gel Time• 60-90 Min. Demold

Repro NS features a non-settling additive that eliminates filler “hard-packing” and dramatically reduces the time required to pre-mix thematerial for use. Shakers and mixers are no longer required – simplystir with a paint paddle!

It is formulated to match the color, mix ratio, work time, lowshrinkage, and surface hardness of our most popular fast cast product, Repro 83. However, Repro NS offers a higher temperatureresistance. Therefore, like Repro 83, it is used in foundry and thermo-forming applications, mold making, and in most general plastic castingapplications.

Repro One• Our most advanced fast-cast urethane• 6-7 Min. Gel Time• 60-90 Min. Demold

Repro One is the latest formulation in our extensive line of fast-casturethanes. This castable polyurethane can be used in durable foundrytooling, thermoforming applications, mold making, as well as mostgeneral plastic casting applications.

Additional Advantages:• Higher heat resistance for elevated temperature applications• Higher Shore D hardness for improved abrasion resistance• Lower moisture sensitivity for ease of use• Improved release characteristics for easier demold• Lower density for greater volume yield• Non-settling formulation for fast and easy mixing• Compatible with expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam)

Repro Light• 1⁄2 the weight of Repro 83• 6-8 Min. Gel Time• 90-120 Min. Demold

Repro Light is a versatile castable urethane that is approximately onehalf the weight of our other Repro products. This material, which iscolored brown, can be used for lightweight tools, backfill applications, and as an adhesive for many urethane and epoxy tooling boards. Itshardness and color is an almost exact match to the popular toolingboard RenShape 450. This material also offers low internal porositycompared to competitive products. Repro Light offers easy machin-ability and can be readily worked and carved with hand tools.

Repro Ultra Light• 1⁄3 the weight of Repro 83• 10-11 Min. Gel Time• 2-3 Hr. Demold

A unique castable urethane, Repro Ultra Light is a very low-density,syntactic polyurethane casting resin designed for weight critical appli-cations and easy machinability. This light tan formulation may beworked with hand tools or CNC machining equipment when cured.A long work time allows for large, accurate castings.

Like Repro Light, this material offers a low internal porosity thatproduces an excellent machined surface finish. Repro Ultra Light isalso an excellent choice to use as a hardness-matched adhesive forlow density styling boards and urethane foam boards.

Repro 95• Aluminum-Filled• 6-7 Min. Gel Time• 60-90 Min. Demold

Repro 95 is a unique castable polyurethane featuring a high aluminumcontent which provides excellent machining and polishing characteris-tics. This casting resin has a gray metal-like appearance and is idealfor prototype thermoforming and wax injection mold applications forinvestment casting.

Unique Advantages:• Dense, non-porous surface even after machining• Reduced tool wear compared to standard fast-cast materials

when machining• The ultra-smooth finish of the material, even after

machining, allows for easy sand release in pattern and core box applications

Repro AR (Abrasion-Resistant)• Silicon Carbide Filler• 60-90 Min. Demold• 6-7 Min. Gel Time

An innovative liquid tooling urethane that is formulated with silicon carbide for increased wear resistance, this casting resin is designedspecifically for extreme wear applications such as high productionfoundry patterns and core boxes. Be aware that this material is difficultto machine or alter once it is fully cured, making it our most wearresistant Repro product. Repro AR is dark gray in color.

Repro Surface Coat & Laminating Resin System• 13 Min. Gel Time (surface coat)• 15 Min. Gel Time (laminating resin)• 3-4 Hr. Demold (complete tool)

A Freeman exclusive! The Repro Surface Coat and Laminating Systemis a low-cost, fast, and very accurate alternative to traditional epoxyfiberglass tooling. Although this tooling urethane is not designed to beused in high-temperature or high-wear applications, Repro SurfaceCoat and Laminating Resin is the ideal material choice for manylarger moldmaking applications. Both materials are white in color.

Additional Advantages:• Low exotherm system provides for very low-shrinkage tools.

System will not get hot even in thick applications.• Quick three hour demold time versus 24 hour cure time for

epoxy systems.• Very easy system to use for first time toolmakers.• Both the surface coat and laminating resin are rebondable.

This means that they will adhere very well to cured material.

RenCast® Epoxy Casting ResinsHuntsman Advanced Materials manufactures a broad, diverse line ofpourable epoxy casting resins for the production of foundry patterns, core boxes, molds, fixtures, and tooling.

Iron-filled epoxy casting resins (black in color) are heavy, highlywear-resistant compounds that are suitable for foundry patterns orthin-gauge metal-forming tools. Aluminum-filled epoxy casting resins(gray in color) are not as heavy, are more readily machinable, and areavailable with higher temperature resistances. Epoxy casting resinsgenerate heat (exotherm) during the curing process. This heat canbecome excessive if the epoxy is poured thicker than the suggestedcasting thickness, causing warping, cracking and/or brittleness. Therefore, be careful to choose the correct system to pour your part.

Rhodia Addition Cure Silicone RubberRhodia Addition Cure Silicones Offer The Following:

1. Unlimited shelf life (in cured state)2. Very low shrinkage - for increased mold accuracy3. Higher durometers - for greater mold stability4. Excellent heat resistance - up to 400°F intermittently5. A platinum based catalyst that makes it ideal for polyurethane

casting because this material, when cured, won’t inhibit the curing of the urethane

Rhodia Condensation Cure Silicone RubberRhodia Condensation Cure Silicones Offer The Following:

1. Low shrinkage, though not as low as platinum-catalyzed rubber2. Softer cured hardness (lower durometer) than addition cure

materials, making them ideal for molds with deep undercuts.3. Heat resistance up to 350°F intermittently.4. A tin based catalyst that creates a more inhibition resistant

material. However, these rubbers, when cured, may inhibit thecuring of urethanes when poured into them.

USG Gypsum Cements

Ultracal 30Primarily used as a “mass-casting material” where the mold is pouredfrom solid gypsum. Ultracal 30 is the most popular gypsum used intooling applications because of its good surface hardness, high com-pressive strength and low expansion. This material offers a slightlyhigher surface hardness and compressive strength then Hydrocal B-11.
