Lion’s Pride Points from 2014-2015 We’re Project Based Learning pioneers for Frederick County. Our students coordinated and executed a Lemonade Stand, a Fun Run, and a Yard Sale to benefit our school and our community. Our volunteers logged in over 1,000 more hours than last year! We are ranked #1 in Frederick County in Intervention Reform Initiatives. We increased our attendance rate to 95.9%. A “superior” rating is 96%. We are above county averages in math and reading achievement. We received county recognition for Google use and Technology Innovation. We broadcast our school news daily to both buildings! Our School Mission Statement: The staff, students, parents and community of New Midway- Woodsboro Elementary School work together to develop life-long learners and successful members of society. We are committed to maintaining a safe environment, where all students have equal access to rigorous on and above grade level curriculum. By nurturing students’ strengths, we guide them in being healthy well-rounded citizens who demonstrate exemplary character. We are a highly qualified professional staff that stays current on research- based best practices and does whatever is necessary to ensure that all students succeed. Our parents are key to our success!

Our PTA funds agenda books, field

trips, and assemblies. Please follow

them on Twitter and Facebook, as

well as on our school website.

Attend a PTA meeting and get to

know our families!

Our volunteers and PTA support our

school to host Open Houses,

picnics, a Fall Festival, Halloween

festivities, and many other

traditional family activities for our

students. We also host Math Night,

Reading Night, and STEM (Science,

Technology, Engineering, and

Mathematics)Night to educate and

engage students and their families

in learning.
