Links to Ayn Rand and Objectivism

A very well designed site for studying Objectivism is The Ayn Rand Institute (ARI). The following links

go to specific topics covered at ARI or a division of ARI – The Ayn Rand Center for Individual Rights

(ARC) as well as to a few other web sites that are spreading the Objectivism message. Use your search

engine to find more.

At the Ayn Rand Center for Individual Rights (ARC) is a beautifully organized presentation of “The

Principles of a Free Society.” Clicking on the links on each page will take you further into the detail of

the subject.

At the Ayn Rand Center for Individual Rights (ARC) is a presentation on how to help spread the

principles found in Objectivism by engaging in Cultural Activism.

The Atlas Society promotes the philosophy of Objectivism. At the home page of this site you will see

their list of the Core Values of Objectivism and you may notice that they don’t exactly match the

Controlling Values found at ARC or in Ayn Rand’s non-fiction. The reason is that TAS defines Core

Values by using one attribute from the Metaphysics and Epistemology branches – Reason and one

derivative attribute Achievement (Purpose) along with two attributes from the “Politics and Economics”

branch of philosophy – individualism and freedom as Core Values. ARC’s Controlling Values are

Reason, Purpose and Self-Esteem. Purpose is the Controlling Value that allows for achievement to begin;

and Self-Esteem is the Controlling Value that leads one to recognize the need for Political Freedom.

The Atlas Society’s, “The New Individualist”, carries helpful, informative articles.

The Objectivism Reference web site contains a list of books by or about Ayn Rand.

The Objective Standard (TOS), A Journal of Culture and Politics examined from the Objectivist POV is

available through subscription both online and in printed format. It is edited by Craig Biddle and contains

work by important Objectivist scholars. Some articles are free and PDFs of some articles are available.
