maybe your retirement is a relaxing life in florida. or, maybe it’s your time to perfect the electric guitar. Whatever your retirement dreams are, you’ll need to work hard and stick to a plan to make them come true. Whether you are just starting or you are well into your career, these simple tips may help. “as independent financial advisors who help clients pursue retirement goals, we use guidelines like this every day,” said Steve massey, Director of investment Services at CaP Com financial Services.

Tips for your working years a smart first step is to do a “ballpark estimate” of your retirement income needs. You’ll need to

account for income from sources such as Social Security, pensions and personal investments, as well as projected expenses. Calculating your

income needs will let you

know how much you may need to

accumulate to fill gaps.

With Social Security, you should be receiving a personal statement of estimated benefits each year and can visit www.ssa.gov for more. for information about your pension, 401(k)s and other employer-sponsored retirement benefits, inquire with your company’s human resources department. fortunately, there are many ways to make the most of your savings and investments.
