he band is in a bar, having a drink, to celebrate to-
night‟s success. It has been a year of hard work for the
Three Steps up and few hours ago they received the best award
for their success; to see their fans excited because of them.
Throughout the past year the guys dedicated themselves to
work and music and with their concert and yet-to-be released
album „On Sunset‟, they are about to become one of the most
popular rock bands in the world.
“Tonight we feel on the top of the world!” Says Gareth Wood
(21 year old front man): “The feeling of being up on the stage
and knowing all of those people are
excited because of you is a real ec-
stasy.”
“It‟s absolutely amazing how a
crowd of strangers can make you
feel happier than ever before.” Continues 23 year old bassist,
Michael Roberts: “ When I am on stage I am a completely differ-
ent person. I am a beast who is ready to give it all to the fans.”
A Year and a half ago, no one knew about those guys. Thee
Three Steps Up didn‟t have a striking beginning of their career
as you may expect.
“We had a lot of trouble until we reached where we are now”
says Michael, “When we released our first song there was a lot
of criticism towards us. People said that we are just an-
other young band which doesn‟t have a future.”
In fact, their first few songs weren‟t really successful. The
band gathered popularity with the song “Uprising” and
since then they are like a hurricane in the world of hard
music.
“Gareth told us “Guys, we can‟t back down right now.! We
have to work harder! Now is our time.” Those words in-
spired us. We had to show them our flame!” Says Connor
Manson 20 year old drummer.
“If something doesn‟t work properly you should work on
it with all your passion and giving the best you can” com-
ments Gareth, while the other two went to greet their col-
leagues . “I was really nervous before this album was
finished.” Continues he: “I thought I didn‟t do my job prop-
erly. The songs which I
wrote didn‟t sound right
for me, but everyone else
liked them. I told about
my fears to my brother. I
played him few of the
songs and his reply was “What the hell, man! What are
you worried about? That sounds great! You guys should be
proud of yourselves.” That gave me enough confidence to
say oh, well, we are on the right track.‟
Four weeks later the Three Steps Up are heading for the
rock festival in New York and their first performance on
stage.
“We Feel On The Top Of The World!”
These are good times for the Three Steps
Up. Massive crowds of millions of fans
presented to their concert in London. It‟s
been a year of hard work, but with to-
night‟s concert the guys proved once again
they are a real Rock „n‟ Roll treasure.

concert for a chat. Three Steps Up talk
their way to the top and what it takes to
make your dreams come true.

“The place was bursting of people.” Says Michael, “I was so
nervous I don‟t remember what happened the first few min-
utes.” Gareth includes, “You see, being on stage for first time is
a big deal! (laughs)”
Unfortunately, shortly after that the guys started having ar-
gument.
“It seemed like we reached what we wanted, but we still had to
work on the album , because it wasn‟t finished. We had to im-
prove the little details” says Connor. “But Soon after the festi-
val arguments between us occurred.
It was like we couldn‟t stand each
other anymore.”
“You see, when you spend your
time with the same people, con-
stantly, certain things in them start
to annoy you” includes Michael. “
We couldn‟t work efficiently any-
more. That‟s why we decided to take a little break from each
other. We needed some time to think about everything which
happened to us.
A month later the band is back
together, ready
to work even
harder, to reach
their aims of
completing the
album.
“Soon we were
back on track.” Says Gareth. “We had to travel a lot be-
cause there were, a lot of opportunities to perform around
the country and we also had to complete the album so we
were very busy.”
“There were times we didn‟t know in which city we would
wake up.” Includes Connor: “We were here and there. Eve-
rywhere!”
However, we wouldn‟t be sitting here with the band if the
music producer Jared Leon, who is here tonight to cele-
brate their success with them, didn‟t find them in a rock
club in the winter of 2009.
„We always wanted to do
music. We‟ve had been
working in a club for a while
and we never even thought
that opportunity like this
would come.‟ Says Michael.
“We always wrote and per-
formed our own songs.” Includes Gareth: “ That night, after
we performed, that guy came to us (smiles at Jared) and
simply asked us “Guys, do you want to become rock stars?”
“When I first heard them I was stunned!” says Jared: “With
tonight‟s concert they proved once again how good they
are.”
The guys collectively include, “ We don‟t think to stop now.
This is just the beginning of our story. We are setting new
aims for ourselves cuz right now we are having the time of
our lives!
“Right Now We Are Having The Time Of Our Lives!”
