BUILT TO LAST TORTURE-TESTING FOR EXTREME PLAY Our playgrounds provide play around the world, so they need to endure the extremes. Intense sun and rain, extreme heat and cold, excessive use and abuse—our products are built to withstand them all. We use proven, premium materials, including architectural–grade, super durable polyester powder coat, first–quality roto–molded polyethylene, and fade-resistant color packages and processes. Our engineering is thoughtful, with attention to detail—like rounded edges to improve powder coat adhesion and eliminate gaps where water can collect.
And because our commitment to play value is only as strong as the physical integrity of our products, we test every one —thoroughly and aggressively.
Weight Loading
We encourage kids to play together, so our equip-ment must be strong enough to carry the weight. We test each of our designs to ASTM F1487, CAN/CSA Z–614 and EN1176 standards.
Impact Testing
From strength and endurance to safety, we demand reliable performance from our playgrounds. When we incorporate new materials, we test them to the breaking point … even if that’s hammer blows at -20°F.
Wild Card Testing
Since our playgrounds may face unexpected extremes,
it’s our responsibility to expect them—testing with
blowtorches, wheelbarrow strikes and more. We
even test our electronics underwater.
Rust & Fade Resistance
We’ve baked our materials in dry Arizona sun and wet Florida heat to ensure superior endurance against rust and fading. Our materials and finishing processes have also been tested in 4,000 hours of salt spray.
Watch product testing in action and learn more at Playworld.com/Testing.

Here. Now. Together. The where, when, how (and why) of play.
Here, in the real world. In the midst of physical forces and objects that challenge and develop strength, balance, coordination and confidence.
Now, relevant to the context, pressures and preferences of today’s children and parks. Geared toward their evolving needs—based on the most current developmental research.
Together through play, face-to-face, interacting in meaningful ways. The communication and cooperation and that strengthens emotional and intellectual intelligence and social bonds.
