LHS Football 2015 Season Welcome to LHS Football! It’s just February but there is a lot of work to be done. The purpose of the TD Club is to raise funds to provide the players and coaches with the things necessary to make our program a successful one. These needs range from pre-game meals and practice clothing to banquets at the end of the season. To do this, we need the help and support of not only the businesses within our community, but also the parents. We need volunteers to help with concessions, fundraising, field maintenance and many other jobs throughout the season. Any help that anyone can offer is always greatly appreciated. Attached you will find information that we hope that you will find helpful. Please feel free to contact any of the members of the board if you have any questions. It is important to note that the TD Club has no control or influence over the practice schedule or duration, team assignment, playing time, positions, or discipline related issues. Questions, concerns or problems related to any of these areas should be directed to the coaching staff. The TD Club generally meets on the first Monday of every month upstairs at the field house. In the event that the first Monday falls on a holiday or is rescheduled for any reason the website will be updated and an email notification will be sent. While attendance at these meetings is typically not mandatory, it is very important that you attend whenever possible; in order to stay up to date with what is going on with the program and to provide input participation as necessary. We want everyone to participate and have a voice. If you cannot attend the meetings, minutes will be posted on the website for your review. Additionally, if there are any questions related to the budget or money being received and/or spent by the TD Club, please contact any club officer for a copy of the budget. Questions are always welcome and we strive to be as transparent as possible. Thank you, All the Board Members

Golf Tournament

When : April 27th 2015

What this is : One of our biggest fund raisers of the year! This event helps to raise money with very little

burden on the individual parents. This is a yearly event being held at Bear Creek golf club this year. The TDC provides lunch, prizes, raffle items as well as overseeing the tournament itself. It is well known throughout the community and we want to really make this event huge this year!

How you can help : We need members to get together teams (Tournament Entry Form included in

Parent Pack) and get Hole Sponsors (Hole Sponsor Form included in Parent Pack). We would also love to have you come and help put on the tournament! There is always something to do and we have a lot of fun doing it!

Donations for raffle prizes and door prizes are also needed.

Blitz / Physical Day

When : April 21st 2015

What this is : Dr. Jove a local doctor, has generously agreed to give our children sports physicals for $20

per child. All proceeds go directly to the TDC. These physicals are good for the entire school year and are good for all sports. Physical forms (included in the Parent Pack) can also be found on LHS web site if you need additional forms.

www.loganvillefootball.com

On the same day we also have a Blitz to help the players’ sale their Discount Cards. Every player is given 10 cards and volunteer parents (no players) drive them to designated areas to sell their cards. This is a great way for players and parents that have challenging schedules to get out into the community and sell their cards.

We will also be grilling to make it fun for the players!

How can I help : We need volunteers to drive the players and volunteers to help man the grill. This is

always a fun evening!

Sponsorship Opportunities

It costs a great deal of money to keep the football program going There is approximately $800 spent per player over the course of the season. It takes involvement from everyone to raise this money.

There are very few ways that we can raise funds. We depend heavily on the payment of dues by each family, sponsorships from local businesses and the sale of the discount cards.

We would like to help families as much as possible by offering opportunities to subsidize the $300 dues for the Super Red Devil membership and the $375 Mega Devil membership by securing a sponsor or sponsors. For every sponsor ship dollar you bring in your player receives 50 % credit up to $300.

Once a list of possible sponsors is compiled it will be sent out to everyone. Each family will have an opportunity to “claim” a business to approach for sponsorship. That business or individual will remain with the player until he graduates, leaves the program or otherwise chooses to relinquish the sponsorship at which point it can be claimed by another player. There are certain sponsorships that will remain with the program as a whole as they are on auto renewal per previous years agreements and will not be included on the list.

We encourage every family to participate in the TD Club and will work with anyone who cannot afford these dues. Payment arrangements may be made as well.

Stadium Signs / Red Devil Walk Signs

When : Now!!

What this is : Signage to be sold to local merchants and vendors to help get their name out

in the community and help us raise money for the players.

How can you help : Reach out in your area to businesses and sell them a sign! This will not

only help out the team but will help pay your players dues!

Concession Stand / Game Night Volunteers

When : Home game nights.

What is this : Every home game we need volunteers to work the concession stand, grill,

help set up the field and many other task. This is important to help the players have a successful home field advantage and make it as fun as possible for the them.

How can you help : You can volunteer to help out on game night and not miss your child’s

game! If you have a child playing on the freshman team then you can volunteer for a JR high or Varsity game and vice versa. If everyone volunteers one game then no one has to miss seeing their child play!

Coaches Dinners

When : Sunday after every game.

What is this : On Sundays parents volunteer to carry a meal up to the coaches at the field

house while they are reviewing game film footage. Parents can fix/buy a meal of their choosing.

How can you help : Volunteer to feed the coaches and show off what a great cook you

are!! Rumor has it they love cookies!!

Work Days

When : TBA

What this is : Go to a few away games and it doesn’t take you long to realize

that Loganville has one of the nicest and well kept stadiums and fields in the county. This doesn’t just happen; it takes a lot of work from the coaches, players and associates of the school. Dennis Schmidt does a great job keeping the turf on the field in tip top shape each year. One day in the spring and then again in early summer we ask those parent that can come up and help clean up the stadium seats, weed eat around the field and just do basic clean up.

How can you help : Please come! Bring your trimmer, weed eater, water

bottle and spare gas can! Let your yard go for the day and help us keep our field and stadium looking the best in the county!!
