Dear Valued Investor:

When it comes to the economic strength of our region, do you believe that our glass is half-full or half-empty? We believe the answer is neither. It is overflowing! Our vibrant region—from the Counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford and Campbell to the Towns of Altavista, Amherst and Appomattox to the City of Lynchburg—overflows with talented community and economic development organizations, proficient and expert local economic developers, thriving businesses of all shapes and sizes in dozens of industries, excellent higher education institutions, strong local chambers of commerce, a flourishing entrepreneur ecosystem, a qualified workforce, a region rich with natural resources and beauty, and responsive local governments who embrace the public-private partnership concept on a regional basis. Our region is devoted to excellence; our regional glass is overflowing with opportunity for increased economic success.

Regional economic competiveness is the underlying theme to unlock our region’s highest potential for a bright future. By harmonizing our business and economic development leadership, we work collaboratively to retain and create jobs, enhance our tax base, build a regional brand, and improve the quality of life in of all of our region’s communities. We’ve increased our region’s brand and economic competitiveness on a national scale!

Thank you for your investment and participation in the Region 2000 Business and Economic Development Alliance. Your support and involvement reinforces and elevates the economic vitality and continued growth of our Lynchburg Region. We continue to collaborate with and expand our partnerships with valuable partners such as local economic developers, chambers of commerce, Workforce Development Board, Small Business Development Center, Center for Advanced Engineering & Research, Local Government Council, and government partners.
