IV. PROCEDUREA. Motivation
Group the pupils into two. First group will have the Set A items and second group will have the Set B items. They will observe the smell of each items and describe it to the class.
Set A contains – Onion and Vinegar residue or real objectSet B contains – Fragrance or Cologne and Calamansi residue or real object
After the groups observe their items each will exchange items.
B. PresentationEvery pupils or group will describe what they smell.Ask the pupils what is their perception or idea about what they smell. Is it good to the nose? Or irritate their nose?
C. Discussion-What sense of the body we use? – Smell-What part of the body we use in smelling the objects? – Nose
Tell them that every items they have smell can be categorize into two – Pleasant and Unpleasant Odor.
Pleasant Smell – Good odorUnpleasant Smell – Bad Odor
Let them categorize the items they have observed whether if it is Pleasant or Unpleasant.

Put a check ( ) if the object has a pleasant sense of smell and cross ( X ) if the object has an unpleasant sense of smell.
E. EvaluationLet them draw their little nose of a short coupon bond paper and they will color it.Put the word “nose” under their drawing.

G. AssignmentCut a picture of other objects, five pleasant and five unpleasant sense of smell. Paste it in a short coupon bond. Remember, don’t forget to ask a help to your parents.
