A fronted subordinate clause is a subordinate clause placed at the start of the sentence. Remember a subordinate clause requires a main clause to work.

Banquo and his son were being hunted by the murderers. Banquo was murdered but his son fled. Macbeth was informed that Banquo was dead but his son had escaped. Macbeth began to see Banquo's ghost. Lady Macbeth told the guests to leave so Macbeth could rest.
